Where is a good place to

stop on our way down to Disney?
We are driving from Pittsbugh to Orlando with 2 nights in between. I know we want our last night to be in St. Augustine Fl. but we are not sure where to stop the night before. Any suggestines would be helpful.

How far do you want to drive before you stop? Just outside of Charlotte, NC or Columbia, SC might be good option. If I do not drive straight through I tend to stop in either Savannah, GA or somewhere near the intersection of I-26 & I-95 in SC.

Let me know how far you want to be before you stop and what kind of hotel you are looking for and I'll see if I can find you some recommendations.

Are you looking for a nice hotel or just something clean and comfortable? If you just want clean and comfortable and in a good area I suggest the Red Roof Inn off of I-26 @ exit 106.

What about Hampton Inn any around the area? if so what is it like?

There is one off of exit 103 and that area seems to be nice. There is a mall off that exit as well. Thanks to a fellow DISer I found that Red Roof Inn and that is where I always stay when I'm in Columbia. We can keep this bumped up because I know there are several DISers from that area who can tell you everything you need to know.
