Ok, been googling, and can't put this together other than Herman's Hermit's at the Flower and Garden Festival with Peter Noone?

Peter Noone was certainly a frequent entertainer during these Flower Power concerts - as was Ron Dante, Davey Jones, Eddie Money and many others but was not a participant in this particular show. Getting warmer though!

The elephant is really unfair as it was just a prop used during this particular show by one of the participants. Final clue in about 5 minutes.
