Sad news this morning. My old elementary school burned to the ground last night . It had been turned into a residence and the elderly couple got out but lost all their pets. "Back in the day when we had to walk 5 miles, uphill, in the snow" , this building, along with the church, was the center of the community. Soooo many memories there; lifelong friendships; first kiss ; the best cook in the community fixing us lunch every day; President Kennedy's death announcement; first trip to the principals office ...so sad to see it gone.

Sorry about your school. Sad that the couple lost their pets. Glad they were able to get out.
