Can anyone tell me precisely where Tink's is in Fantasyland? My oldest daughter is a big fan. Also, is it very competitive to be the one who gets to wake up Tinkerbell?

As you walk through the castle, Tink's is across the walkway and a bit to the left before you get the carosel.

I am not sure how competitive it is to wake her up. I have only been in that area once for the rope drop, and I did see a man carrying a very young girl SPRINTING to the shop. Like I said, I have only been there at that time once, so it may have been an isolated incident.

From what I understand, Tink flies around her shop in the form of a light beam. She "sleeps" in a box. I have heard guests --the first or so to visit the shop -- are selected/allowed to "wake her up" -- or let her out of the box.

I have no clue if there is any fan fare or if you get a Magical Moment certifiate or anything.

My DD got to wake up Tink on our last visit. I had read all about it but hadn't really planned on doing it. We went to MK for EE. We had to rent a Elect cart for my Dad, do the photo thing on Main St. and just strolled into fantasyland. There it was on the left, Tinks shop and I remembered about waking her up. So we went in and asked. My daughter was the first to ask and was granted permission to wake her up. However as soon as the CM came out with a magical wand to wake up tink a little girl and her family came rushing in asking to wake up tink. She was very dissapointed we were already ther. The CM saved the day by letting them both wake up Tink! It was so cute. The girls each had little wands and stood on a little bench (almost to little for both of them). The CM said some mombo jumbo and had them wave their wands over this little wood box on a shelf behind the counter. All of a sudden there was little flashing lights and this tinkling sound and then woosh she was flying all over the store. OK you dont really see her, it is just a lot of little fiber optic lights in swirly pattersn all over the walls of the store. "She" fly's all over by twinkling and tinkling all around. The girls then traded in their wands for a Magical Moment Certificate with their name and date and what they did on it.

I think that sharing a turn to wake up Tink is the best kind of magic in WDW! I'd love to experience this with my DDs, but they're older (10 and 12 right now) and I would hate to take the opportunity away for a younger child.

Anyone do this with older kids? Or should we save that magic for the wee ones?

I hadn't planned to do it because I thought my daughter was to young. She ended up loveing it! But I say if your daughters are into it go for it while you can!
