We have an ADR for dinner at Boma on 15/8/07 (or 8/15/07/!)

I understand that at the moment the restaurant will still be open.
:thumbsup2
But if Disney do close where would you recommend we go?:confused3

We are a family fo 4 with 2 teenagers who aren't bothered about a character meal. They've done them on previous visits. & they prefer a buffet but table Service would be OK:dance3: :dance3:

We also have Ohanas & Hollywood & vine booked.

Park admission isn't an issue as we have tickets for every day.:cheer2:

Try Cape May Clambake, it's great. It's at the Beach Club.

Boma might be closed in August? For a refurbishment? I hadn't heard about this. Do you know the possible dates?

I also recommend Ohana.

boma is closing?!? i have reservations for september there! They'd better not get cancelled because it is my favorite restaurant. I will be seriously discouraged. :( It doesn't seem to me that it needs refurbishing, it's practically brand new! Please can someone confirm or deny this rumor? I think my reservation is on the 7th of september (friday?).

tricia.

It is only a RUMOR. Parts of the HOTEL are being "closed" for the DVC conversion, but some rooms will still be used for guests. NOTHING has been said by Disney about the closing of the dinnning. Some Disser's have been contacted about changing their room reservations but so far no one reports being called to change ADRs. Plus if the rumors are true this will all be over by Sept 1.

I called AKL directly since I have a room booked there from 8/14-8/18 and was told that everything is up and running as normal, with the exception of some of the rooms of course. I confirmed that all restaurants, pool, room service etc would remained opened during construction and the answer was "YES" So no worries!
