Where I ate

I'd love to hear about the 1900 Park Fare breakfast and dinner. Which one did you enjoy more? :)
Also, I'd be interested in hearing about Les Chefs de France. Did you eat lunch or dinner there? What would you recommend ordering at Les Chefs de France? :sunny:

1900 Park Fare is always nice, great character interaction as well.....I did prefer the dinner to the breakfast. I think because I had read so many times that the breakfast was the best around, that maybe I was expecting something more....but it wasn't bad...the dinner is very good, great pasta!!

Chefs was nice, I had dinner there....the french onion soup was really good, and I also had a baked cod which was nice....my older son had the baked pasta w/ cheese, it was good but way too heavy...they have a nice flat bread as an appetizer that was tasty, it had bacon onions and creme fraiche or something like that.....I saw some meat dishes that looked really good too....I think you'll like it, and the prices are reasonable...

Thanks Francesca! I have to say your son has great taste! I love calamari :cloud9: THanks for the report!

I'd like to know what you--and other patrons--wore the evenings you dined at "signature" restaurants like California Grill, Narcoosee's, Citricos. Did you see anyone refused service who was wearing shorts and a Mickey T??

I dressed rather nice to all 3,
My 8 year old son was dressed so cute to go to CG, Ralph Lauren head to toe, literally...when I went to check in on the 2nd floor, and the the man told us to go right up when the elevator came down, and had to remind us that the dress attire was business casual and my little guy needed to take his hat off b4 going up....WELL!! There were people upstairs in flip flops, girls w/ short denim shorts w/ patches all over them, tee shirts, etc...I couldn't believe they all went in there like that and my little guy who was dressed up, had to get picked on for a hat...c'est la vie....but yes we all got dressed very nice to the signature restaurants...

I'd like to hear about Narcoosee's, as well. I have to decide whether or not we should eliminate two TS meals to eat there. The TS meals would probably be Spoodles & Kona Cafe.

I've never been to Spoodles or Kona cafe, but I think you will like
Narcoosee's.....read my above post on it.....

Tell us about Chef Mickey's breakfast, worth it? How was your experience at Ohana, did you have a helpful waiter/waitress? Did you have a ADR, if so how quickly were you seated? Did you see the fireworks from Ohana? TIA!

I think CHEF Mickey's is worth it for breakfast..lot's of choices....

This was my 2nd time to Ohana...the first time I did not like it, and the waiter was awful.....we felt like he was annoyed when we asked for more of anything...I swore I wouldn't go back but my DS8, insisted and begged to go, that was his one choice so I gave in. Well we had a much more helpful waiter, they brought over so many appetizers and skewers w/ out our asking, I couldn't believe it, we even had to say no, because they gave us so much the first time around. I had ADR for both, and waited aboyt 2 minutes at Chef Mickey's, and about 5 minutes at Ohana. I didn't see the fireworks coz it was too early, but I think from the right table you can see them... :)

I would like to hear more about Citricos since we rarely see reviews of that one here on the DIS. What did you and the others in your party have? How was the food and service? What about the atmosphere? I imagine Citricos as quiet, upscale, a bit trendy, a bit romantic. Would you agree with that assessment? How would you compare it to California Grill and Narcoossee's?

Thanks! :)

Citrico's is my #1 favorite! I love it, it's so pretty, the food is soooooo good, try the gateau of crab for an appetizer, yummmm... my dad had a veal shank, said it was the best he ever had, he also had arancini for an appetizer, as did my ds8, they loved them, DS21 had plat du jour, which he finished, (he's a picky eater)and Oak grilled beef, which he loved

I had a red snapper special which was very good, had a nice mediteranean flavor to it
M mom had the sicilian seafood stew, which she enjoyed, we both had gateau of crab, loved it! Besides the arancini my DS8 had the children's skewered grilled chicken, he loved it...We shared 1 tiramisu, and 1 sorbet w/ berries both very good....

Oh and those melon chi chi drinks are soooo good!!

Your assessment is right on.

Compared to CG, it is less noisy, more relaxing...compared to Narcoosee's it's a little more upscale....but those are my 3 faves.... :)

We have an ADR for Ohana and we've never been. Please tell about your experience there!

Thanks.

It wasn't bad, they have tasty appetizers, and the steak on the skewer is very good...there were coconut races for the kids, and a hula hoop contest....we left there overly stuffed..... :)

:flower: I would love to hear about dinner at CRT and Ohanas...did you like the potatoes? And at CRT do you know what the childs appetizer is like? My DD8 will be ordering this.
Thanks a bunch :earboy2:

Terri

Not to repeat myself and bore anyone :teeth: read my previous post on this thread RE: CRT, but as far as the child's appetizers, my DS8 did not like it so he ordered an adult one, (crab spring roll)...but I did see the child's appetizer go by it looked nice, and was a nice portion too...

The potatoes at Ohana were great, soooo buttery! :)

Thank you Francesca! :) I'm really looking forward to Chefs de France on our October trip. I think I might try the flatbread, it sounds delicious.
Hopefully, we'll get to try the 1900 Park Fare dinner on another trip next year since I couldn't fit it into our schedule. :sunny: It sounds wonderful.
