Where have all the parades gone??

I have spent too much time on the rumor boards....

We are going to DW the first week in March 2014. It is starting to look like there will be NO parades

MK -
Electrical Lights Parade will be being refurbished
A Wish Come True will have ended
Festival of Fantasy will not have started

AK-
Jammin Jungle ended with no replacement

HS-
5432Fun! Ended

Is this all true??????

I didn't know that Jammin Jungle was leaving. Is it official or just a rumor?

We have been visiting Disney since 1989 and multiple times per year since 2006. We have never had a time when the MK did not have a parade. Not sure about AK rumors, but be sure you will see parades at MK daily. Testing my memory a bit, (huh... at my age) but going way back when the parades were -Disney Character Hit Parade, -Magical Moments parade, -Dreams Come True (2006 - 2009), then -Celebrate a Dream Come True (2009 - 2013). The night (Electrical) parade schedule varies, but worth it to watch if you are at MK on those nights. They may discontinue one parade, but there will be always be a replacement at MK and it will spectacular!

Its been a rumor for a while now. Especially with the AK rumored extended hours, and night show.

I thought the extended hours were for peak times.

Those are rumors. I've not heard NEWS that said JJ will end. I do not believe (until I see a news release from Disney) for one second there will be a night show at AK. The people who make up those rumors don't understand the way AK closes down at night, and animals in general. Every time I read a post perpetuating that rumor it just seems ignorant.

I've only heard spotted rumours anout Jamin Jungle parade leaving, as far as we know it's still going to be there.

MSEP floats get "refurbed" every night as in lights gettig replaced & fixed & all. This is the first I've heard of it going down, and I doubt they'd do it at the same time CADCT is gone.

And dont forget abut the Move It Shake It Celebrate It in MK that will most likely run more often with no 3pm parade!

We are there the same week and really disappointed about the no scheduled parade. My little girls favorite part of our last Disney trip was the parades we went to EVERY one and she LOVED it So sad that may not be ANY parades

So sad we are going the month before the new MK parade debuts. Some of our favorite memories from our Disneyland trip were from the Main St Parade. Was looking forward to the DW version. Oh well! There's nothing like being a four year old waiting for your favorite characters to come by and wave on a parade float! Too bad they can't continue with the old parade until the new one debuts.

Cut backs. They eliminated the parade director. There is no longer anyone to direct them. They marched out of the park and kept going. No one to tell them when and where to stop.
