While my computer does a good enough job printing the images, it takes ALOT of ink. With making shirts for 5 people for 7 days, I am thinking I should go and get them printed on the transfer paper elsewhere.

Where else can you do that? I will supply the transfer paper, I just need the printing part. I know I can use a memory stick.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!:)

Although I have never done this myself, I have heard and read many people doing this. You can go to Kinkos, OfficeMax, Office Depot. Almost anyplace that you can make copies.

These places may not let you make copies that contain copyrighted images...

I just thought of that today that eventough there is no profit going on with the images they might still not do it. I will try well in advance to see if they will, and if not I will just have to stock up on ink so I don't run out!

I now have the bug to make shirts AND invites, penny holders and a journal~ I am going to be very busy for the next 6 weeks! LOL

I recently discovered that I don't have any access to an ink jet printer! (Everyone has a laser printer!) So I'll be taking my memory stick & transfer papers on the road tomorrow. I'm hoping I'll be able to print them somewhere.

Assuming I get them printed how stable will they be for the return trip home? Should I have a file folder for each separate image?

I would seperate them with paper. Please let me know if you find a place to copy them! Good luck!

I am bumping this because I can't find the thread where someone posted that they HAD been able to get prints made at a Kinkos....I called both Kinkos and Staples and they said that you need an inkjet printer for iron on paper and they only have laser printers.

Is that true? Will it not work with a laser printer? Is there paper I can buy that works with laser printers?

I have my shirts ready to go and am trying to decide if I should just suck it up and use my own printer and get more ink if I have to.....thanks for any info!

There is transfer paper that is made especially for laser printers. The catch is that these transfers can only be put onto shirts with a professional shirt press - they don't work with an iron. :sad1: DO NOT try to put inkjet transfers into a laser printer, as it will ruin both the printer and the transfers. I have a laser printer, too, but I'm planning on using my Mom's inkjet printer to do my transfers. Best of luck! :goodvibes

Thanks....I think I am just going to have to take my chances and use my own printer....I figure if I start now and run out of ink I will still have plenty of time before our trip

I was the one who posted a couple of weeks ago about being able to get the images printed at Kinkos. I ONLY printed on cardstock, though, to make magnets - didn't do any transfers so I have no idea how that works. I do know that our Kinkos had no problem with me printing Disney images with their computer/printer.

Thanks so much...maybe I will do that...I have several things that need to go on cardstock as well, sippy cup inserts and invites to meals...at least it will save me some ink!

Just my two cents, but it may end up being cheaper to use your own ink. It would have been for me, but my printer would not have printed decent images. If you have a pretty good printer that will print on cardstock, it may be cheaper to buy an ink cartridge or two than to get the images printed at Kinkos. Part of my cost was also laminating, which I'm glad that they did for me because they used the heavy weight stuff for the larger images, but still.....the total ended up costing more than I thought it would!!
