Do you have a favorite place for its price, convenience, etc. to refill the tank before heading back to the airport? TIA

If returning from WDW on Greenway, at the exit for MCO, at Boggy Creek Road go south about 1-2 miles and there is a circle K with a gas station.

If returning from Universal there is a 7-11 on corner of Frontage Road (Frontage Rd is the N Service Road) at Tradeport. Take Sand Lake Road east from Universal following SR482 towards airport. When you get to Tradeport (after crossing under Parkway) make left - station on left past parkway. After gassing continue north (very short distance) to McCoy Rd (believe second right - 1st right is for Beach Line.) make right at traffic light and continue to S Semoran/SR 436- make right and you will enter airport property.

There are also gas stations north on S. Semoran

I agree with Dan, Hess stations, and the car will still be on Full back at MCO

Leaving that gas station, get into middle lane with parkway behind you, you do not cross back under. You must turn right onto McCoy.

You will come to this same gas station if you took I-4 east from Disney to 528 (Beach Line fka Bee Line) and got off at 528's exit 9 Tradeport and take a left. It's fairly cheap.

I'm told that the stations on S.Semoran (436) just north of the airport are somewhat more expensive.

Beware of the gas station on S. Semoran (SR 436) that was a Chevron and is in the process of converting to some other brand. It's near Thrifty Car Rental, a few miles directly north of the airport. There are no signs telling you what their prices are. Only when you drive up to the pump do you realize the prices are 50-cents per gallon higher than anywhere else in Orlando. While you could drive off, many people are in a hurry to return their cars and buy anyway.

BobK/Orlando

I usually fill up at the 7-11 (Citgo) at 535 (Vineland Rd) and World Center Drive just before getting on 417 (CF Greeneway). They seem to have fair prices and if you fill it up a little over F, you will make it to the airport with no problem...

We're another Hess by the Boardwalk filler upper!

Sometimes, in any city or town, if I cannot read the gas prices I will drive right in and if I don't like the gas prices, drive right out again. Usually it is the "old fashioned stations with the rope across the driveway that rings a bell" that fail to post prices in big enough numbers.

Not OT:
Pick Up The Correct Nozzle!
Sometimes the regular gas (the cheapest) comes from the center or rightmost hose (or pushbutton selection) and sometimes you make the mistake of assuming the cheapest gas is on the left.

Have used Hess @ DTD & Circle K on Boggy Creek.

There are also a few on 535. We usually stay at SSR or OKW & will head that way to 417.

Either the Hess station at Boardwalk or the 7-11 as disneyjosh mentioned.

Last time, I filled up at the Hess the night before we were leaaving, drove back to Pop Century and out to airport next morning. Tank still on full andn no problems with Natl.

herc.

Yep, this was on the flyertalk Hertz board too. Someone had said when prices were around $3.09 everywhere else, they were charging $3.69 and the only way you could tell was the price on the actual pump....Hey, if people can't figure it out, power to them....
