I am looking for the perfect place to view Spectro when we are there on June 6th. I've read about the train station but this won't work for us with two small kids, we can't wait around for 2 + hours (45 minutes is how long we usually wait for parades or 30 minutes). Does anyone have any suggestions for less crowded locations?
Thanks,
Lesley

We always sit in front of the train station or City Hall. That is actually where the parade starts. It makes it easy to leave because you are right there at an exit. :)

THANKS for bringing this up. We were just disussing this at dinner the other night. Our DS who will be 10 on our next trip wants to watch from upstairs at the train station but mom and dad don't want to wait that long. We normally watch from the Main Street hub below the train station or from in front of the castle!

IMHO, the least crowded area would be in Liberty Square.

I prefer seeing it on Main Street though, sitting on the curb and I usually sit there an hour before and DH and I take turns walking in the shops with my 2 girls or getting snacks. It goes by fast.

Good luck!

We'll be watching Specto on June 6th too!!! We have watched on the ground in front of the train station and it is much easier to get out. However, we usually watch in front of Pecos Bill's. We get dinner and sit on the curb and wait. It's much less crowded here, but be prepared to let the crowds clear before you plan your escape!

I usually try and catch it on Mainstreet under the train station or by the firehouse. I have also caught it outside the hall of presidents as well.

We usually watch Spectromagic right in front of the castle. Last time we were there, we had a PS for Cinderella's Royal Table right (and I mean RIGHT) after. So the CMs let us walk right up through the Castle to get there. Maybe it's common, who knows (not me) but it sure made me feel good!

If not waiting around forever for the parade to start is your main concern, you can hang around in Frontierland beforehand and show up at the end of the parade route 15 minutes before and still snag a good viewing spot. The drawback to this is that you'll be stuck back in that area afterwards because the Wishes crowd will be clogging Main Street also. You can either do some activities back that way or head over to Fantasyland behind the Castle for some rides (with no wait), or you can head over to Liberty Square and go behind the Christmas shop to view Wishes from there. There was absolutely nobody sitting there when we stumbled across this area. It's not a head on view of Wishes, but you can see the fireworks themselves great. After that, it's best to just sit and relax until the crowds lessen to make your way out of the park.

We are alike. We watch it from Main Street - anywhere from Tony's down to the Plaza restaurant. We get there between and hour and an hour and a half and take turns taking the kids places until it starts. I love the thrill of sitting there and hearing the music start up!

Wow. We just heard the music as we were exiting tomorrowland and we were lucky enough to have a perfect spot to watch it w/o anyone in our way. It was an awesome way to end our day at MK, which was definitely my favorite day.

We arrived last Thurs to watch spectro about 1/2 hour before. I asked a cm what is the best viewing spot he said frontierland. So we headed off and got my daughter a spot right infront of the funnelcake place. To take pics not so good on an angle really, would think across the street would be better.
