Where do you shop?

I love the World of Disney store. I also went in the shop at the end of Backlot Tour and got my husband a "Tool Time" shirt that says -"real men don't ask for directions" - he loves it.

Where are the places in disney that you enjoy shopping? After reading some of the snack threads, I began to realize how many things I had missed. I didn't know there were citrus swirls! I'm sure there are shops that I have missed, so I thought I would see what everyone here likes. :)

I believe it is back by the Tiki birds. I know there is a refreshment stand there, I have just never stopped. It is set back and not very noticeable if you are just passing by.

Yes, if you face the walkway that's to the right of the Tiki room, the one that goes to Frontierland, my understanding is that the Citrus Swirl place is between the Tiki room and that walkway. At least that's what I'm hoping, since I want to try a Citrus Swirl, also.

I love the shops in World Showcase. The marketplace in Mexico & the department store in Japan are two of my favorites.

I love:

THE EMPORIUM on Main St

THE ART OF DISNEY in Epcot

THE WORLD OF DISNEY in DTD

THE CHRISTMAS SHOP in Liberty Square

plus, I always like to check out the shops in the resort I'm staying at

Yes, that's where it is. They only have the orange there. They used to sell both orange and pineapple there. Now, if you want pineapple, ( a Dole whip) you have to walk back towards the the castle, and near the entrance to Adventureland.

Some favorite shops:

POTC post ride: Great marketing Disney!
Tinkerbell's Treasures - it's fun just to find Tink circling the room. Costumes are pretty expensive though.
The gift shops at the Contemporary - always quiet, some nice stuff, lot's of girls costume stuff, and LOTS of hats
The WoD at DTD - always crowded and crazy, but lots of stuff. You can get discounts there, too if you've got an AP.
The DTD store with the new BB Boutique - esp the new Pirate themed entrance!
The Japan Store in WS: some weird stuff, but a few finds. Where else can you get Hello Kitty at WDW?
The Store near the back exit to Epcot, used to have great deals in there on sweatshirts and CD's you could make. Haven't seen much there lately.
The GF's shops - also always quiet
The Poly's gift shops - better before they were remodeled, but if you want overpriced Mickey men's Tiki shirts, They've got 'em. Worth a look if you're dining over there. The art gallery there is also amazing! I wish I had ten thousand $$ to blow! I'd get one of those crystal sea turtles in a heartbeat!

Equally cool are the Galleries located on the Boardwalk - same stuff, but slightly larger space (They are near the Flying Fish, but towards the stairs, near the ATM). Check out my favorite container garden while you're there!

The Main Boardwalk giftshop has a lot of the same stuff as everywhere else, but it can be fun to go in there. The food end of the store has a pretty good supply of snacks.

The confectionary store on Main St. MMMM... There also used to be great chocolate at the 'Earl of Sandwich' store at DTD, but I think it's been transformed. Behind it is one of the special places to get personalized Mickey ears. On the opposite side of Main St. is the firehouse. Easy to overlook, but ahs all the 101 Dalmations stuff, including a cool penny press. Nearby is the Main ST Barber shop, where you can get an expensive haircut (While you're paying park admission), but it can be cool to do once. Where else can you get Mickey Pixie dust in your hair?

The gift shop at AKL has a lot of repeat stuff from AK, but it's worth a quick walk through if you're waiting on a table at Boma with kids in tow.

The main gift shop at WL has some unique items with WL type theming.

I SOOO wish the Norway Store would rethink it's stategy, They'd sell aton of those Viking hats if they weren't just SO darn expensive! Everything in that whoel store is ourageous. The Bakery is great though!

I like :

Emporium MK

Once Upon a Toy DTD

Mousegears EP

World of Disney DTD

The shops at the Contemporary CR

Goofy's Candy Company DTD

Candy Cauldron DTDWS

The name of the place with the citrus swirls is Sunshine Tree Terrace.

I'm curious which game you mean. I saw a few games I really wanted at the same store, but I couldn't afford $40 apiece. I ended up buying several Disney and WDW-themed games at Toys R Us for $15 or less! I couldn't believe it. For some reason I'm gonna guess that you might mean "The Magic Kingdom" Game. That one was $15. I bought Disney Guess Who for $10 and my sister bought Haunted Mansion clue for $17 (I already had it). Last I knew, they didn't have Splash Mountain Clue (is it Clue? I can't remember) or Pirates Life, but I'll have to check.

Either way, check out Toys R Us first, you might be surprised!

When we were there last, my DD BEGGED for "The Magic Kingdom" Game...@$40.... I was disappointed not to buy it for her, but just couldn't swing it. Yes, not much after, Toys R Us for like others said, $15. We got it and it was played with endlessly for all of about a month. It hasn't been touched since! So, I'm glad I didn't spend the $ but it is a very cute game!

Character Connection (great official off season cheap WDW stuff) & Coach outlet at the Premium Outlets

Scrapbook store at DTD

$10 & under DTD

Okay, all of the DTD stores! World of Disney, Once Upon a toy, the Christmas store, Goofys' candy, the margarita hut, Earl of sandwich, the pin station)

Mousegears

Star Wars store MGM after Star tours

I enjoy all of the WDW shopping! I am totally suckered in. Love it! But I especially love finding fun souvenirs for a discount!

I love all the Disney shops, but some of my favorites are: Mexico in World Showcase, the Christmas shops in MK and MGM, Mouse Gears in Future World, Emporium in MK, Sir Mickey's in Fantasyland (I think this is where I found some charms for my daughter's charm bracelet). I also like the store in Dino-land in AK, but can't remember the name. It has lots of funky toys and fun stuff. It's across from Triceratops Spin.
