Where do you put your stroller...

We're planning our FIRST trip to WDW this October... with a stroller. Where in the world do you put it if you are, say, stopping off at a resort other than your own for breakfast on your way to the park?? Does it go on in to the restaurant (such as Chef Mickey's)? It seems to me it would be in the way.

I know driving our own car would solve the issue - and is still certainly an option for us. But if we use Disney transportation (I love the monorail!), I'm having a hard time wrapping my brain around this one.

Any insight, please?

This is a good question. I cant wait to see answers on this because I didnt even think about it.

I think most place in Disney have stroller parking or some accomodation for strollers. We've brought a stroller to Chef Mickey, 1900 Park Fare and the Cape May Cafe for character meals and there was always a sort of stroller corral to park in. I don't think that strollers are allowed actually in the restaurants though if you were thinking of bringing it right up to your table.

Hope this helps!

All the restaurants we were at this yr had stroller parking. We parked our there & it was fine. I was a little worried about it getting stolen as we have a rather expensive stroller but no worries.
Chef Des France did let us fold it up and bring it to our table as it was raining outside & we didn't want it to get wet. Oh and we brought it into Crystal Palace but that was only because our DD was sleeping.

Most restaurants just do not have room to bring your stroller to the table. In that case you can leave it right outside the restaurant.

If the restaurant is not busy or has space they usually will let you take the stroller to the table if you want. I would not plan on this though.

Great answers! Thank you! I really did NOT want to take the stroller in - so I'm glad to hear there are parking places like at the parks. :cool1:

Yep, the only times we have taken a stroller in was when they were full of sleeping kids, fortunately, they kindly let us take our stroller to the table in those circumstances.

For outdoor parking, we have a rain cover for our stroller, or bring a ponco or large garbage bag and clips of some kind to hold it on.

I'm a stroller junkie and take a pretty nice Maclaren stroller to the parks, but at WDW, you'll see some REALLY expensive strollers! My only issue is that there are so many exactly like mine, I'm afraid it will get mixed up with someone elses. Make sure to tie something bright to the handle bars so you can easily locate your own stroller in the sea of strollers.

Have a great trip!

All of the TS resturants we went to had a designated place for you to put your stroller, at most of the CS places we took our stroller with us.

So glad you asked that question! We're going for our first trip this September and I was worried about our stroller as well.

Just a note to let you know that it will most likely not be where you left it. The strollers get shuffled around, people/cast members move them to get to others and to make room for more coming in. Be sure and "mark" your stroller in some way so that it will be easy to identify. Also, get a stroller cover and anytime you have to leave it unattended outside, cover it! You never know when those Gulf Coast rains will start up. And you will easily identify where to park your stroller when necessary.

Our strollers sit high and we've used them as high chairs and taken them in with sleeping children and never had an issue. Otherwise there's always stroller parking available in parks and resorts near resturants. If it's outside keep an eye on the weather ours about floated away at Chefs de France one trip.
