Where do you put your camera?

If you go on a water ride? Or what do you do with it in the event of a sudden downpour? Or even just on an especially bumpy ride?

I have multiple options. First, my equipment is weather resistant (Pentax). When I suspect bad weather or water ride, I will mount a WR lens. I have a dry sack for each of our cameras (the DW is also a photographer) or a large ziplock bag will work also. As mentioned, a good camera bag. For bumpy rides, the camera is in my hands because I am usually trying to shoot. Not to say that I don't take care of my equipment, but I am used to shooting in difficult conditions. Here is an example (the white things in the image are flying mud clods)

On a water ride, I'll put mine in a waterproof bag. If DSLR, I usually carry a waterproof camera bag - if my mirrorless system, it's small enough to fit in a large Ziploc freezer bag. If I intend to shoot in wet conditions, I'll use a rain sleeve. For sudden downpours - I keep a ziploc in my back pocket on potentially rainy days, or will bring a water resistant bag along with me for other lenses, big enough to squeeze the camera in an emergency. I don't fear getting a little rain on my camera - most can handle more than you'd think - I've often shot in the rain with both my cameras and had them get wet - reasonable precaution to wipe them off, and watch where the water gets, usually does fine. On bumpy rides, I'm usually holding my camera, and often shooting with it...if I need both hands to hold on, then the camera will usually be in its bag or between my legs, with the strap wrapped around some body part so it can't go flying into the nether world if I lose grip on it.

I keep a plastic bag on me. Most of the time I don't carry a camera bag into the parks, I stash an extra lens in my hip pack. On water rides or when it rains it all goes in a large plastic shopping bag. It works very well for me.

On bumpy rides the camera is on me. I wear it across my body, not around my neck. I keep a lenscoat bodybag on it to cushion it some.
