Where do you put the Pack-n-Play in the villa?

Our DD will be 14 months old at the time of our trip and will most likely be sleeping in the Pack-n-Play for bedtime and maybe naps, too. She is used to having her own room. Where could we create "her own space" in the 2BR villa? Her grandmothers will be in the one bedroom and my DH and I will be in the other? Where do we put her? Anyone ever traveled with this age before? Where did your child sleep?

Thanks for any info/advice!

This is going to sound strange, but in many of the Villas the master bedroom closet is a walk-in. They are leaving enough room to setup the ironing board, I guess. Just like a tiny bedroom

At OKW we've used the laundry room in the 1 and 2 Br villas, At BWV the large closet might work. or if you don't use the studio door then you cdould set up a little area for the baby there.

It does depend on the resort. At OKW the laundry room is good, or the huge closet in the 2nd bedroom that is where the door would be to the outside in a lock off studio.

Sorry! Forgot to say we'll be at the VWL. I'm assuming it would be the same options then?

Thanks!

VWL will have the same basic layout as BWV, BCV, and SSR.

We went last year when my DS was 15 months. He's used to sleeping in his own room too. We rented a crib and set it up in corner of the master bedroom. We would put him to bed at his regular time and then we would hang out in the living room. By the time we were ready to go to bed, DS would be fully asleep and not notice us coming into the room.

I did not like the idea of putting him in the walk in closet. Even though it is big enough for the pak&play, it still looked cramped. Also I thought that the sounds from the bathroom might wake him up, since the closet and bathroom are right next to each other.

This is what we did in our 1 bedroom at BCV for our 2yoa son. We used a crib as you can see, but you could do the same for the PnP.

We've only stayed at OKW and HHI. At OKW, we put the pack in play in the studio part of the 2bd in the corner. At HHI, we had a dedicated 2bd and there is this really cool alcove across from the bathroom entrance in the 2nd bedroom. It was quite, secluded, and cozy! Our DS loved it!

Now, my DD never slept in the PnP. Her first visit to WDW was at 17 months and she slept with us. When we returned from WDW, she went straight to a twin bed. She HATED the crib, loved the bed, and we finally got some decent sleep!!

We were just at VWL in Jan. with our 16 month old son in a 1 bedroom. We set the pack n play up next to our bed. He is also used to sleeping in a crib in his room. This was his first time in a pack and play and the first two nights did not go real well. He kept waking up throughout the night. But by the third night he had gotten used to it and for the rest of the week he had no problem. We brought his blankies from home to try and make it feel more homey to him.

Just a note we stayed in Oct. when he was 14 months and we were in a normal two queen bed room at the JW Marriott so we thought we'd just have him sleep in one of the beds with DH and I would sleep with DD in the other bed. We decided a crib would take up too much room. Well he had a horrible time every night getting to sleep in a bed with a parent and would wake up constantly at night. So even though the pack n play took two nights by the third he felt at home enough to not have a problem.
