It seems like it's been hard to get responses to questions asking where to eat on Christmas. I know I have asked and have seen others ask as well. Maybe there are many who, like us, are heading down for the first time and can't really give a good suggestion where the best holiday dinner would be. So, without asking for a suggestion, simply where do you plan to have your holiday meal? We will still be at Universal on Christmas Eve and will probably have dinner at Margaritaville. On Christmas day we are moving to BWV, and plan on eating at Yachtsman Steakhouse (although I am still tossing around the idea of having dinner at Cape May Cafe).

How about you?

I've noticed that the Christmas dinner threads seem to get just a couple of replies then fade away. Makes me appreciate those that do reply all the more.

We'll be having dinner on Christmas Eve at Le Cellier as part of the CP package. Our Christmas Day dinner as been a tougher decision, though we're now leaning toward Artist Point.

Looking forward to reading lots of responses here! :D

Was at MK on Christmas Day I would dine at LTT great food and service.MGM I would eat at PTC,Epcot my choice would be Le Cellier and if I were at AK it would be RFC.:earsboy:  :earsgirl: :sunny:

We will be there on Christmas Day and after consulting the family,we have decided not to make a PS anywhere and just have what everyone feels like on that day.My DH told me he would be happy with a burger or one of those turkey legs.So at least I wont have to fight for a PS for Christmas.

This is our first year going for Christmas. Like you said, I cant suggest whats best, but heres our plan....

Christmas Eve we have the CP package booked at Le Cellier.

Christmas morning we traditionally have a big breakfast at my parents house so we want to continue that tradition and hope to have a late breakfast(10:00, 10:30ish) at either CRT(I think our chances are slim here) or Chef Mickeys.

I know we wont be too hungry for another big sit down meal for dinner so, like kellyla, we plan to just pick up something. Our plan for the day is after leaving MK at breakfast time, we will resort hop to check out the Christmas decorations. Right now my top choices are Beaches & Cream for burgers or some appetizers at the Territory Lounge at WL(not sure if this is ok for kids or not). We will just play that by ear.

My plans are to do the CP on Xmas Eve at Morrocco and find a buffet for a late Breakfast/Brunch for Xmas. My mother and I will be flying home that afternoon. I am leaning towards Boma. We stayed at AKL a few years ago and my mother loved it! (This trip is OKW on my DVC points!)

We're still up in the air about our Chistmas dinner plans, but we do know that we'd like to spend the whole day in MK! So we have it narrowed down to two places, LTT, or CRT.

We are eating in Norway's Akershus on Christmas Eve with the CP package.

As there are no kids in our party - just my mum and I, we want to eat at V&A on Christmas Day. Jiko is our second choice. Our Dreams agent will be trying to get our PS for us.

My DH, DS (4) and I wil be doing the CP on Christmas - with dinner at Le Cellier.

We will be eating at Whispering Canyon on Christmas Eve with him - opted to do CP on Christmas instead of Christmas Eve because Santa (and sometimes Mickey) makes an appearance at the resorts on Christmas Eve (At least he did last year), and we didn't want our Son to miss that. If we didn't have our Son, we would probably do CP on Christmas Eve, then Artist Point or Calif. Grill on Christmas.

KellyLa - Rumor has it, that if you don't have a PS for somewhere on Christmas Eve and Christmas - then you won't be able to get in to a Sit down for dinner - only Counter Service / food courts because it will be so busy- so I'd double check with the Family that Burgers/Turkey legs are truly okay with them. It could never hurt to make a PS and cancel it later if you changed your mind.

Hi
I have also asked the question xmas meal, not alot of response but on another site a few suggested akl or wl as I asked which resort would be nice for 4 + 12 year old,but the menues didn,t seem right for them or xmas.
We are not bothered about a park that day so we are going for 1900 grand floridian then maybe have a nosey around akl & wl as we are staying in a villa it will be nice to see the resorts.
We also have cp dinner at le celliar on xmas eve at 4.30 for 6.45 show ( l hope this gives us enough time ) so if anyone is there with us give us a shout, you cant miss us as my sister and l look like twins ( l,m told )

We just finalized plans for both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at our house today!
:earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl:

Chistmas Eve has usually found us at CP, but this year we are changing our plan a bit since there are no Osborne Lights to visit on Christmas night :(

We plan to do the Fantasmic! Dinner Package for Hollywood and Vine on Christmas Eve and then end the night with Fantasmic! and Comedy Warehouse.

Christmas Day will find us at our traditional brunch location of Boma and then the afternoon will be spent at Epcot. We have CP for 6:45 and will eat at LeCellier at 8:00.

We couldn't be happier!

Elin

as if many of you will be dining at Le Cellier on Christmas Eve. My hubby and I are doing that as well with PS for 5:10 and going to the latest CP. We are flying out on Christmas day (late afternoon) but are thinking of Boma for breakfast if we can get PS. We stayed at AKL last year, this year its POR. One of my thoughts is to try and see the decorations at many resorts and since we are hoping for a breakfast at Kona, and a visit to GF that would make 4 resorts we would see.

Maybe we will see some of you around during our trip. . .Dec 19-25th!! We really are looking forward to it as this has been a rough month for us with financial situation out of our control. We have money saved for the trip, and neither of us wants to cancel since we will need a time to have some magic by then!!

:bounce: :bounce: 2002 was our first trip to Disney during Christmas we had a blast so we are going back again this year. Christmas Eve we will spend the day at the Magic Kingdom. We will have breakfast at Whipering Canyon a lite lunch and then dinner at Tony's Rest. (we will request a window seat and Nancy if she is still there) Main Street is beautiful at this time of year to sit and look at while you eat. Christmas day we will spend at Epcot. We really enjoy the World showcase and it gives our son(8 will turn 0 while we are there) a chance to see how other countries celebrate Chritmas the storytellers are really good. We will eat breakfast at the resort (The Dolphin) I do not make a PS for breakfast on Christmas Day, we eat breakfast at our leisure so we can enjoy opening our gifts from each other. For dinner we are eating at the Coral Reef (5:40pm) as a part of our CP package then we will attend the 8:15 CP. The CP is a wonderful way to spend Christmas Evening. I am so excited I can hardly wait until Dec 19-Dec. 29th. It would be nice to see some of you while we are there. Whatever plans you make I hope that they are all magical. Have a great time.:D :) :)

Last year I was looking for something COMPLETELY out of the ordinary for our Christmas dinner. It was just me and my daughter (6) on the trip - we decided on the Luau... it definitely was a nice change from our traditional Christmas dinner! :p

If I were going for Christmas, there is no doubt in my mind I would eat Christmas dinner at California Grill-- it is elegant but friendly, very classy, and I would trust them to make it feel like a "special" dinner.

I guess it depends for everyone on what their at home Christmas dinner traditions are.

We, too, are eating Christmas Eve dinner at Le Cellier as part of the CP package. We will probably do Chef Mickey's for Christmas breakfast and then California Grill for dinner. I can hardly wait!

Finally...some replies to the where-to-eat-on-Christmas question. I see a lot of CP packages and I'm still not sure if that's a value for our family. My 3 kids just don't eat enough to warrant $10 a pop. Since Christmas day is our last full day at WDW (we depart the 26th) I'm not so sure I want to spend a couple of hours at a full sit-down meal. I'm thinking maybe we ought to stay in Y/C and have our meal at the restaurant there. That at least has us close to home base to relax and maybe get a little packing done and we're still close to Epcot to hang out in the evening. Everyone says MK is a mob house and I don't want to be stressed on our last full day there.

I hope to see some of you all.

I am also looking for suggestion of where to eat on Christmas Day. Our flight takes off at 5:15pm so the towncar will pick us up I guess about 2:30. We are staying YC concierge GV. We are 4 adults Me, DH, DS (21yrs), DD(21yrs). Any ideas for our last meal on our first trip to WDW!

we were all set for xmas eve Le Cellier (not on CP as we again did not view it of benefit to us) and Cp at MK on xmas day.... then we read just how bad MK would be... now we knew it would be busier than we've ever seen it, but given we've only ever been Sept/Oct.. that wouldn't be difficult!! so time for a rethink.... so today we have finally wrestled with all the menus and settled on RF @ DTD xmas eve and some last minute purchases..mmm$$$$ and then 50's PT @ MGM on xmas day...... roll on 0926 so I can finalise my plans, as we have 'ohana booked for my birthday, PSB booked for daughter's "un-birthday"..don't ask!! and CP just because we love it!!
