Where do you park at Port Canaveral?

We will be staying at the Country Inn and Suites. I was planning on parking there and using their shuttle service, price is about $40. But my friend says she's read a lot of posts from people who say they park at the terminal. I did a quick search and it seems there are several park and cruise type companies also, so now I'm even more confused as what to do. Hoping some veteran cruisers have researched and know the best value! Or, even if it costs a little more, is it worth it to park directly at the terminal? Thanks

I prefer the comfort & ease of parking at the terminal but I also have family/friends who use the park n' cruise in Port Canaveral & have not had issue.

It's worth it for us to park at the terminal. $128 for 7 nights is peanuts in the light of what we're paying for the cruise. It's just not worth the hassle of parking off-site to save a few dollars.

We always park at the terminal for added security and convenience.

I have stayed there and think the shuttle was included in the price we paid, but we still paid the extra to have the car at the terminal. We walked right off and got to Kennedy Space Center by opening. It's worth the extra $ to me. I have had a shuttle nightmares at that terminal and happily pay to have a rental car parked the whole time we are on a boat.

If we have a car, we prefer to park at the Port. It was super easy and convenient, my husband dropped us off with the luggage curb side and then went to park the car, was back with us in less than 5 min. After the cruise, can't beat just walking to the car and driving home or wherever you will be going :)

I'm a parking deck snob as well and park at the port. I enjoy the convenience and the covered parking (which is why I don't understand why people pay for the 'preferred parking').

We park at the terminal as well. Since we live in Orlando now it doesn't make sense for us to book a hotel the night before and leave our car there. We have done that before we moved here and it worked out OK. The biggest drawback is the hotel shuttles don't necessarily get you to the port as early as you might like, and the pickup after the cruise may involve some waiting for the shuttle.

+1 for parking at the terminal for all the reason mentioned in the prior posts.

I park at the port. I just want to get off the ship and go straight to my vehicle.
