Now, I'm not talking Disney hotels, but hotels in other cities. What website do you use? Cheaptickets, priceline, etc. Or do you find it easier just to go directly to a hotel's site? I'm trying to book a hotel in Key West but I'm not exactly sure how to go about finding one. SO how do you do it??

I usually go to online travel guides (Frommers, Fodors, AAA, TripAdvisor, etc.) to see what hotels are in the area and what these guides recommend. Then I go to the individual Websites, hotel.com, and other to see the price.

I use tripadvisor.com to find out about the hotels. You can read real reviews from people who have stayed there. It will tell you which hotels get the highest ratings from guests. Then, you can use Expedia, orbitz or travelocity to book the room. But, be sure to check directly with the hotel as well. Sometimes the rate is better or they dont require full payment in advance.

I use Expedia ... Travelocity ... the hotel's website ... you name it. Whatever site gets me the cheapest rate for the hotel at which I want to stay.

I've gotten used to Orbitz so I start there to give me some ideas. Then I go to Tripadvisor to read the reviews (with a grain of salt, of course). If some hotels get a lot of bad reviews for specific things I am looking for, I cross them off my list. To book a hotel, I go to the hotel's website since they typically have lower rates. Hope this helps!

I usually check out expedia.com too. They usually have a lot of photos.
