Where do you like to sit on a plane?

I prefer an aisle seat where my left leg is next to the aisle. I have some residual issues with that leg from an accident and sometimes it's good to be able to stretch it out, and having the aisle there is good for that.

My DH is a frequent flier. So on SW he’s always A1-10 he loves his exit row. Surprisingly even if I’m B60, that middle seat is waiting just for me. I’m always exit row, middle. (I get the armrest and lean on my DH)

Front aisle. I’m claustrophobic and hate flying.

i always like the aisle seat
So much easier to get off the plane and not be waiting for those in the back of the plane for the mad dash to line up closer to the exit doors

The local smaller airport only has service by one of the discount airlines. The seats are quite close together. On those my preference is an emergency exit aisle seat to avoid my knees being pressed against the back of the seat in front of me.

On other flights I prefer aisle and front half of the plane.

If I have my choice? Near the front of the plane, aisle.

Reality? Travelling with my family, we're near the back and I'm in the middle seat. :o

Anything but the middle. I like window so I can lean up against the fuselage and rest, but I like the aisle for easy access if I need to use the lavatory.

Does anyone know if the Delta Comfort Seats are worth it?
I enjoy Delta Comfort seats as you have more room. However, it all depends upon the flight time and the price difference. Short flights 1-1.5 hours typically not worth it to me. Over that, unless the price difference is astronomical it gets serious consideration.

I always book an aisle seat. Not real picky about where it is on the plane, just needs to be an aisle. Because DH is tall, I book him in the exit row. Sometimes he wants a window and other times an aisle. I usually book myself somewhere near him, depending on what's available. I don't need the legroom so I refuse to pay for an exit row seat for myself.

Since COVID, and traveling with a kid, we prefer the back of the plane. I like the window, and we put the kid between us and my wife takes the aisle seat.

When I would fly with my father, he would say sitting by the wing was the safest place to be.
Sitting near the wings probably results in a slightly smoother flight less impacted by turbulence due to the balance of the plane.

NO and NO.

i miss the days when i could get PHENOMENAL seats by virtue of despite being a non-smoker always selecting a smoking section seat when i booked a flight. it never failed that a smoker that had paid allot more for much better seating/better section of the plane failed to select the smoking section of their premium area when booking. stewardess would come around and ask if anyone was willing to trade seats so off i would go to the land of more leg room and sometimes free premium snacks and cocktails :drinking1 :drinking1

If flying alone I prefer AISLE,
if with another then I am willing to seat middle seat.
I prefer being as close to the front as possible because I just want to get OFF the plane asap. I never do overhead luggage so its up and out for me!
