Hey Guys! Just a Conversation Starter!! Where do you guys work? What do you like :D & dislike :( about your job??

I used to work @ Ace Hardware as a cashier (I know, i'm a loser! But there were cute boys!!) - i loved the people who worked there, but i hated being a cashier and they overworked me (I worked Tuesday Night, Friday Night, 8&1/2 hrs on Saturday morning, then Sunday night!!)

Now i work @ a sandwich shop called "Potbelly's Sandwich Works" (you probably haven't heard of them unless you've been to one of 30 locations in the midwest -mainly chicagoland) It's similar to Subway & Quizznos, but it is so much better! It's lots of fun, i love the people working there! I work as A Cashier (ick!), a "Fronter" (meaning i clear people's tables, restock items, sweep floors, etc) and i make the best shakes, malts & smoothies!

Does babysitting count? lol

Im heading off for college on sunday, and I have never had a job (besides babysitting) in my life.

I work in customer service for a company called "The Bay" which is a Canadian retail chain. It is quite similar to Sears. :)

i never had a job b4 (besides babysitting) but in october i'm going to work at the night or terror scaring little kids...is going to be soo much fun

I work for Stewart Theatre on campus, which means I hang lights and run the shows that come in. I just got trained on lightboard, which means I'll be making more money!

I work at Rave, it's a juniors clothing store at the mall by me. The people that work there are great, but the job isn't. Retail is awful!! Every once in a blue moon you'll get a really nice person, but a lot of people that come into Rave are so rude! But it's easy to deal with....just gotta suck it up and be nice. :)

I currenty work at Best Buy as a Home Theater sales rep. I sell TV's and DVD players, and stuff like that. When I'm not there I work over at my brothers company as helper. I also own my own Disc Jockey company, which I make more money at that then everywhere else combined! teh fish, I see that your working with stage lighting, thats great. I'm also the Cheif Technical Lighting Designer at my high school. I don't get paid, but its fun! I'm thinking about quiting Best Buy, and start DJing full time. I make way more money doing that! And hopefully, when I go to school in Florida, I'll have a job at Disney World.

I've worked at Kids R Us for over a year now (I'm 17 and a senior in high school)...

Good things: I like the people I work with (for the most part), I never have problems getting time off, it's taught me to be more social with strangers, and it's great when a customer is truly thankful of your help and compliments you

bad things: Rude customers (this is retail, after all), working on school nights when I'm exhausted and have a ton of homework to do, it's not exactly fun

Really, I'd quit if I could survive without money, but I need at least some money, because my parents won't pay for things...

I work at Primo. It's a catering hall. I love my job actually. I have lots of friends there and it's just fun in general and I love my boss, who is a good family friend.

I've never had a job b4 besides babysitting, but next summer i;ll be 16, so im gonna get a job, prolly at Yellow Brick Road Ice Cream Carousal. its an ice cream place jus up the road from my house, so if i have to work and my mom cant drive me, i can jus walk.

I babysit also but not as often as I used to. I'm so sad because I haven't been to work in the longest time because it's marching band season.

well i cant really get a job till 3-4 months cause im not 16 yet but ill be working at an independent record store i know the owner though soo i should get the job i dont no what would be bad about it but the could part is i listen to music! and ive met the workers there they are awsome

i used to do a lot of babysitting which was nice because it was easy money but now i look at mcdonalds.

the worst part of the job is the people don't realize how hard it is to ring up what they order especially if they request the sandwich a certain way. the cash register is really complicated. i also don't like the people when they complain because most the time its unwarranted and they are just complaining.

the part i like is the pace. its really fast pace at times. other then that i really don't like much about the job. the pay sucks for the work involved.

I have too many jobs. I work at Stride Rite, which is a childrens shoe store as a sales associate. Thing I really dont like about that is dealing with little brats and their rude parents. I also run three different websites, one for a small business association, one for my school, and one of my own. Check it out at www.lhs2006.com. Finally, I work seasonally as a special events waiter for Chartwells Food Service in Millbury, OH. Thats ok, except no tips. But overall, I like working, and I make plenty of money.

I don't have a job, but I desperately need one so I can pay for gas and car insurance. I've been waiting to apply anywhere because of marching band, but since that ends this week I'm starting to apply at more places...I'm hoping to get a job at Panera.

I babysit once or twice a week and that makes reasonable pay. I love it, cause i love little kids; but it is extremly hard cause i am in the marching band and everyother band thing (yes... call me a bandgeek) and that is 3-4 days a week. Over the summer i worked at BK; and the pros and cons? Well pros- i met my bestfriend, good pay and it was fun playing with the cash register. Cons-- Cranky people, Cranks Boss, always rushed to "GET THE FOOD OUT IN 90 SECONDS OR LESS"
Oh yea, and i worked drive through and we had to say "Hello, welcome to burger king. Would you like to try a whopper meal today?" and people would just be like "um no.." HEHE

I used to work at a paintball field... but it got old so I'm probably going to go apply at A&F at the mall fairly soon.

Good - Free food, whatever hours you wanted, cool management.

Bad - Whiny little kids, getting shot with paintballs every 20 minutes or so, stupid co-workers.
