I hear people talking on this site about discounts and coupons. and was wondering where everyone looks for these discounts and coupons? I know some you have to sign up for emails, and some you have to keep checking websites. etc

discounts on hotels, resturants, anything regarding the trip.

thanks

Its completely random so far as I can tell. We've got one before but never again despite being the customers Disney wants (Stay onsite at the Grand, do 4-5 day hoppers, etc).

I just received a 30% off promo code from Orbitz so I used it to book my stay at the Disneyland Hotel. I have NO idea why they sent it to me, but I'll take it! I signed up for their mailing list a few months ago and I have been checking rates a few times a week, so maybe that's why. I would keep reading posts here and sign up for mailing lists that are relevant. For park tickets, there have been good reports about way.com. Orbitz is running a deal for 3 and 4 day park hoppers and you get an extra day free. You can also check the Dis budget forum, there are some good tips on there too. Good luck!

Once you get to your hotel (or really, any hotel in the area), there are usually leaflets stands in most of the hotel lobbies. The leaflets/flyers (basically ads) are normally for attractions, restaurants, and shops in the area. These often have some type of coupon on the bottom.

If you buy your tickets from Orbitz, be sure to use Ebates too! You'll get cash back (depending on the percentage they're offering on Orbitz at the time) that can be as much as 10%! I bought my park tickets and dining vouchers through Ebates/Orbitz and got a check back of over $200!

thanks, yes this is what I was looking for. discounts and coupons for the Anaheim area around Disneyland, as well as around Knotts berry farm area (Buena park)

We also check costco for restaurant gift cards as you can usually get $20 off... you buy it for $80 & get $100 worth of gift cards. Ive seen California Pizza kitchen & Buca Di Beppo. Also restaurant.com has the house of blues $20 for $50 but you have to spend $100. I guess it depends on your party size. For us it was good because we have 5 people.
