We have been to WDW many times.....but I find it hard to find GOOD FOOD in MK. We have eaten at the castle and I personally think it is just way to expensive. We have done Crystal Palace just for breakfast. How is lunch/dinner? We have eaten at Tony's....not that great either. We have eaten at Liberty Tree for lunch years ago and dinner more recently on a trip. It is avg. Does anyone else find it hard to get a decent meal that isn't counterservice fast food in MK? We have taken the boat over to FW to eat at Trails End too. Once it was just okay...once it was pretty good. I love MGM's Diner......but that is about it for MGM too. We have tried the Sci Fi and both times...not worth it to us. I love EC and eating at Le Cellier and we always eat the counter service in Mexico. Have eaten inside twice and though it was okay. My DH always gets something in Germany. Maybe we need to branch out to the hotels more then.

WE have done Chef Mickey's for breakfast and dinner. We have done Poly for breakfast, and Parkfare too. Okay I am rambling now. LOL

Just curious......what do you guys like at MK???

We did Liberty Tree for lunch and really enjoyed our food. I had turkey and dressing and my husband had roast beef. Tony's is pretty good. I've heard Casey's hot dogs are really good, but then that's not a sit down meal. Have you tried Whispering Canyon Cafe over at the Wilderness Lodge? The last time we went there the food was good and the waitstaff was really funny. I agree with Trails End. It's ok but not anything to rave about. I've heard that Kona has really good steaks but I haven't tried one yet. It's on my list. :teeth:

We ate at WL for Thanksgiving back in 2002....it was just okay. It was really crowded and loud. Yes we do like Casey's. I forgot about that. LOL I was looking at Tony's for lunch maybe. Their menu looks promising. It is so hard when you have three kids....but one is only eligible for kid's menu still but my 12 year old is so finicky and would want the kids menu too.

I used to say I wouldn't spend 2TS for a meal when there were sooo many good/great 1TS restaurants BUT I think I changed my mind... Even if I were paying OOP, I think I'd feel the same.
Last year, we ate at LTT for dinner... It was good...Not great. The character interaction was wonderful, though. We also ate at Cindy's Castle. We thought it was well worth one TS and are in debate as to whether it's worth 2 (most say YES!!! It's worth 2)... We had great service and everyone loved their meal.
The year before last, we decided (mainly because of the forum reviews) not to eat in MK at all... SO... We went into the park, ate CS meals and for dinner left the park to go to our hotel or to other restaurants at DTD or other hotels.... If you don't like the choices at MK, you may decide to do that. I do wish, though, that they would bring better places to eat into MK... OH,YES, I forgot, you may want to try CP for dinner.

I think branching out to the hotel restaurants is an excellent idea!!!

We did the lunch at CP and really liked it. There's quite a bit on the buffet to choose from. It was one of our favorite meals of the week. We ate at LTT 9 years ago, the first dinner seating of the day at 4pm. We liked the homestyle cooking and family style buffet.

In the park LTT and CP as table service and caseys corner. ppecos bill and the main street bakery for counter service. Nearby Chef Mickey, 'Ohana, WCC ans AP

Definitely The Plaza.

We make it a point to have lunch there at least once when we go to WDW.

They have soup, sandwiches, burgers and great desserts. You have a choice between fries or German Potato Salad. The food is good, the service is great and it's small so it's not usually noisy there.

We liked dinner at Crystal Palace (and actually we've got ADRs there on Monday night, our arrival evening because we had such a good time there last time). As others have said, it's really easy to take the monorail to one of the resorts if you want, too.

Can you do ADR for Plaza. I have never eaten there. That would be an excellent place to try.

Plaza is nice if you want a sandwich type meal or a salad, but prefer the sit-down service. The food isn't much better than the available CS. We usually do Casey's or Cosmic Rays (GREAT burgers and roasted chicken), and we do Main Street Bakery for breakfast. The resort restaurants are much better for sit down, but you have to decide if you want to use all that travel time to get there.

Epcot's WS has the best options for sitdown. Love Le Cellier and Alfredo's. Marrakesh is good too.

The CP for dinner was great. We loved it. I have a review on it with pics of some of the food. Nothing out of the ordinary, but steak, shrimp, fish etc...good stuff.

Counter Service you can't beat CHH.

We love the CP for lunch/dinner! (well, breakfast too..it's WONDERFUL! :thumbsup2 ) But, if you are wanting a lighter meal, I would highly recommend the Plaza. We tried it for the 1st time in May, and I thoroughly enjoyed my reuben and banana split! In the future it will be our must-do for lunch! :sunny:

we are doing CP for lunch, and CRT for dinner. i would be OK not doing CRT (we are paying OOP) but DF has never been to Disney so it is a must
