Where do you eat breakfast?

Need some advice. We will be at CBR and will be using disney transportation-no car.

I would love to be able to eat breakfast at different restaurants but I am worried about it taking too long to get somewhere. I would love to go to the parks and other resorts to try different places. However, my family tends to get headaches when we wait too long to eat.

What do you guys do? How long after you wake up do you eat? What time do you eat?

I would hate to just eat breakfast at CBR every morning. Those of you who do (have breakfast everyday at your resort), does it get repetitive?

Also, we are going in August so I know there will be a crowd for buses.

We aren't big breakfast people so we are good with breakfast stuff in the room, donuts, poptarts, cereal, cinnamon rolls, etc. We grab that while getting ready or heading to the parks. On occasion we've stopped once at a park to grab something quick at a counter service, like at the bakery.

I know lots of people have to have a big breakfast but we just don't - I can't handle much food before noon. ;)

It does take awhile to get to other places for breakfast, maybe you could do a couple of big breakfast on your offdays? Like, we did Kona for breakfast about a month ago on our last day there - we weren't doing the parks or anything. So it didn't slow us down getting to the parks or anything.

If you do it early enough, you can still hit the park at opening or close to it - esp if you do one inside a park or at a monorail/park resort.

MGM - Starring Rolls
Epcot - Fountain View
AK - Cart on right just after bridge from Oasis
MK - We try not to eat breakfast here, it's usually too busy.

We eat quick breakfasts in the room-- cereal, granola bars, fruit, etc... then head out to the parks. I like to schedule later ADR for breakfast buffets or character breakfasts in the parks. When we eat later in the morning, we usually skip lunch then have an early dinner.

For a quick bfast we like Main Street Bakery then sitting on the quiet street to eat, Tusker House at AK, the new food court area in the Land pavilion area at Epcot.

For our big, leisurely breakfasts we love Crystal Palace, Spoodles at the Boardwalk and Boma at AKL.

We're going to miss a lot of our breakfast time on this next trip since we'll be trying to make the most of the morning hours.

We eat at Trails End at Fort Wilderness for a BIG breakfast. It never seems too crowded when we go. The buffet is plentiful and good.

It would be a kind of a pain to get there from CBR though. Take the bus to Magic Kingdom and then the boat over to FW. You could take a bus to any park and switch but thats the easiest.

We also eat in our room. Pop tarts, breakfast bars etc. Its so easy to just eat it while getting ready before heading out the door. We aren't big breakfast people and prefer to do an early lunch between 11am-12pm.

We always take tons of food then never eat it. Oh, well, at least we're prepared. If we're doing a later, sit-down breakfast, we'll grab a muffin or something from quick service at the hotel or a bite from the Main Street Bakery in MK, Starring Rolls in MGM, or Fountain View at Epcot. Sometimes we'll take just a short break to eat breakfast at Tusker House in AK (Last fall this didn't open until 9:30 -- I'm not sure what time it opened when we visited in May, but I know that it ends by 10:30 because we were too late!!) or Electric Umbrella (good French toast sticks but only 3 to an order). For a longer breakfast in the parks, Crystal Palace is my absolute favorite -- for the food. Yumm! In the resorts, both Boma and Kona are excellent. We don't have any set pattern in our breakfast eating.

Without a car, getting from CBR to a different resort hotel will be fairly time consuming during breakfast hours. I believe the buses are all running by 7-7:30am. However, I think it wouldn't be too bad to take the resort bus to MK, then hop on the monorail and try one of the following sit down restaurants:

CR:
Chef Mickey's or Concourse Steakhouse

Poly:
Kona Cafe or Ohana

GF:
Grand Floridian Cafe

As for eating inside the parks, I like:

MK:
Main Street Bakery (Counter Service)

Epcot:
Fountainview Expresso (Counter Service)

MGM:
Starring Rolls (Counter Service)

AK:

There is a coffee cart right after you cross over the bridge near the Tree of Life - has muffins, pasteries, etc.

If eating breakfast in a park, it usually means I got there right around park opening. If eating a sit-down I usually plan for around 8am - never had trouble getting a PS (though I've never tried popular places like Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace)

we ate in our room. pop tarts, cereal, even pb&j. we didn't want to take the time in the morning to eat in a restaurant. one morning we did do 1900 Park Fare, but we were staying in GF so travel time wasn't an issue. we did do a couple of table service lunches though, and we loved that. it was a nice break in the day, and less crowded then at dinner time. maybe you could grab quick breakfasts and then try out different places at lunch time?

We usually do two breakfasts at a table service each trip-a character breakfast and somewhere else so on those days we usually do an early seating. The rest of the days to save time and money, we usually have stuff in thr room like a muffin, breakfast bar or fruit. Then we pick up a snack mid morning at the park-something small to hold us off to lunch.
