Okay, this is Ontario-centric, I admit it. I only know the places around here to cross, but here's the question. If you're driving down for March Break, :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: where do you cross? We're crossing at Pt. Huron on Friday afternoon :crazy2: I hope it won't be tooo bad. We're both teachers which is great b/c we get the break but it means we have to cross at the busiest time. Otherwise I would go a day early. ;)

Anybody else going to be in the line-up with us?

When we drive we cross at Sarnia/Port Huron.

When we fly, which we usually do we cross into Buffalo for Southwest nice cheap fares!

Have a great time and enjoy your time out of this freezing cold, snowy country!

We're from London, but literally live 2 minutes from the 401, so we always cross at Windsor. I've crossed at Port Huron twice, when travelling with others ... once around 6PM on the Friday of March Break :scared: Make sure you've all had a bathroom break and plenty of snacks in the car. ;)

We are leaving Thursday around noon. Going to cross at Detroit. I have not been to Disney during our March break. I have always taken the kids out of school. Am I going to regret this move  . Are the crownds at Disney crazy during our march break 11th-19th?

Well, we went last year. Compared to the end of August, it was really busy. It also wasn't that warm...too cold to swim at All Stars where we stayed. I hope it's warmer this year! We're not doing WDW this trip; saving it for August again.

See you on I-75! We'll be the red crv with the dad driving and the mom trying to sleep and the kid wanting a story. :woohoo:

Thanks tinkerbeth for the heads up. I see your from Strathroy...Thats where I go to get my hair done. Elite hair. I live in Lucan right now but moving to Fredericton in the next few months. If the parks are too crazy I hope the weather is nice because we will spend all our time at the pool. Save our passes for the next time we go. Must do MK more for me than anyone else. :goodvibes Have a safe drive. I'll be one of the thousands of mini vans on I75. I'll be sure to  if I see a red crv.

We always cross in Windsor for some reason mind you I don't think it is any further for us to cross in Sarnia it is just what we are used to I guess.

We cross at Sarnia/port huron. I went to nursing school in Sarnia so it's what we are familiar with. Besides it's only 1 1/2hrs away Windsor is about 3. Pyshcologically it seems like less driving 'cause we are across the border in no time. Have a great trip Kathy

That's funny! I feel the same way. Once I've crossed the border, the trip has begun! Isnt' it funny how you can feel the difference as soon as you're across the bridge?

Can't wait!

When we drove down during our March Break trips, we always crossed at the Ambassador Bridge/Windsor and always left on the Friday night and stayed the night in Ohio.

Now that we fly down (haven't flown during March Break yet), we cross at Fort Erie to fly out of Buffalo.

I've always crossed at the Queenston/Lewiston bridge. I've always found that quick and painless.

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

This is our first time during the March Break. Were leaving Thursday night or day. We usually head I75 but if the weather is good then were going I77/79 and heading to Nascar country. Which in then we will cross at the Niagara/Buffalo border. We won't know until minutes before we leave depending on the silly weather. So we'll see you on I77 if the weather is good or I75 if the weather sucks.

:sunny: here we come

We've only done Windsor... Port Huron bridge was alway under some kind of construction when we use to cross to get to Sault Ste. Marie a few years back.. ( ok maybe quite a few years back now that I think about it!).... Is it better now???.. I like that idea of "crossing over" a little earlier too.. Never any trouble at Detroit border though. We always leave a week before March Break , do Disney then spend the second week on the beach.......It has never been tooo busy at Disney for us, although my DH would like it to be a bit warmer.

I voted Windsor/Detroit & as for the crossing my family & I use the Ambassador Bridge. Once we are threw Customs, it's right to Interstate 75 South.
