I have never been to Disney or Wilderness Lodge.

When I arrive at Wilderness Lodge to check in, where will I leave my car?
When I pull up at the hotel will the valet meet me at my car?

Will I be able to leave my car at the front door while checking in or do I need to take the car to the parking lot?

I will going back to Orlando to pick up my famly as soon as I check in, so I will not be staying at the hotel longer than the time that check-in takes.

I do not want to appear as if I don't know what I am doing or leave my car in a spot where I shouldn't.

Your best bet would be to just pull into the parking lot and run in. You never know how long check in will take. They valets do come over to your car and ask if you need help, etc. I suppose you could pull down from the doors and leave your car but the people checking out are usually there packing their cars. Guess you could just pull through and see what is going on when you actually get there. There were times when we were there that there wasn't a car in sight. So, you never know.

The people (valet guys and girls) are very nice at WL. I would explain your plans, I am sure they will give you the best answer.

Will you have your luggage with you at this time or will you be just checking-in only? Also what time are you planning on doing this?

We always just pull past the doors on up to the left, where we are not in the way of others using the valet. I run in to check in and my husband stays with the car. They always come to the car and ask what we are doing and we tell them checking in, but don't need help with our luggage. After I check in, DH unloads the car right there and I stand with the luggage while he parks. Then we take our things to the room. Have fun whatever you decide!

(If your room isn't ready, they will hold your bags for you until it is, then you either go get them yourself or they will bring them to your room)

Depends on whether you plan to valet park and have the bell services handle your luggage, if so simple pull up under the Porte Cochere and they will handle it and give you a tag for valet parking. This will cost you.

If you do not wish to valet park, simply pull into guest parking to your left as you enter and walk up to the resort.

If you wish them to handle your luggage but not valet park, pull under the Porte Cochere, wait with your car until the bellman gets all your luggage, and then go park the car yourself and go check in. Once in your room, you can have your luggage delivered.

So you have 3 options. :thumbsup2

If you have luggage stop near the doors and let Valet unload the lugggage. Valet will guide you to the spot that they will unload the luggage at. You are then given a ticket that you give to your bellhop when you eventually make it to the room.

After the Valet empties the luggage from the vehicle go park in the parking lot. The parking lot is then just a quick walk to the lobby to check in.

If you have no luggage at the time of check in, pull into the self park and short walk to the lobby.

The traffic in the WL main drive is always busy. Even if you pull far to the left or right this may disrupt the traffic flow.

If you have questions just ask one of the Valets. They have been very helpful with our questions in the past.

Enjoy your stay at the WL!!

Last time I checked in there (Aug) I pulled up and the valet guy came to the window. I said I just wanted to check in now (it was early and I knew our room probably wouldn't be ready), but have bellservices unload the car later. He said "no problem" and asked me to park farther up the passageway, to the left curb and asked me to leave my key at the valet parking desk just in case. Unless it's hyper, hyper busy I don't think you'll have any problem doing this. :sunny:
