My mom and I have been talking and we think we are going to try for a trip in October. It will be 4 adults and 3 kids, ages 1,3, and 5. We have an opportunity to stay off site for $600 for the week, so we'd just would need to buy food and tickets. What is the best way to go about doing this? Are there any dining options so that we can eat in the parks for lunch vs. having to go back to where we are staying?

I tried to see what it would run us to do a resort package with dining option but our party exceeds the number of people allowed.

I'm a little confused. Are you definitely staying offsite? If so, you will need to pay out of pocket for your meals in the parks. There are plenty of places to grab lunch if that its all you need in the parks.

If you are trying to price a resort package with dining, that would include a hotel room also. You would need two separate rooms for your party. So, if you are just looking for a price so you could compare, you need to price out just one room on the disney site. I don't think the disney site will give you a total for more than one room, but you could call disney if you'd rather get a grand total for everyone.
