Looking to order one for DD2 for Dec trip. I just need one or two, so I need a place that will do small orders at a reasonable cost. Also, we'd like to put two phone numbers and her last name on the band, so one that will let you write a lot would be good as well. TIA!

I ordered mine from Shanrene.com. You can engrave on both the front and back. They have youth sizes. My three year old wore hers on her ankle.

I too just ordered from shanrene.com...I got 5 for around $15 including s/h. They don't have a minimum order, which I think is fantastic! I also spoke with them about how long they take to process (we leave in 2 1/2 weeks) and was told they should ship out next day on small orders. :):cool1:

I just received 4 bracelets this week from Shanrene. They were really reasonable and fast. Just an FYI, they do have youth sizes, but even the youth size fell right off my 7 year olds wrist. So like the other poster said, you may have to put them on their ankle or maybe just pin on their top, etc.

from reminderband.com. My DH wanted them to be color-filled so CM's could read them easier if necessary and that's the only one I found that would do it without a minimum order. I paid $16.32 for 2 with first & last names on each along with both mine & DH's cell numbers. I believe the 2nd side imprinting was an extra $.20 & the color-fill was an extra $.25 for each. Their smallest size is 5 7/8.

I did Shanrene as well.

As for color filling the text...I prefer to NOT have the bracelets color filled because I want the person who is reading it to work hard to do so.

I do NOT want random people to be able to see the info on the bracelets.

We only put If Lost Call My Mom ### and If Lost Call My Dad ### on the bracelets. No names at all.

Great idea!!! Just "If lost, call my Mom!!!" and a cell #!!

Has anyone ever had trouble with the CM's finding an ankle bracelet?

Ds (2yo) wore his on his ankle. I made sure that it was outside his socks and had ordered bright yellow bracelets so it was very visible. We never needed to test it..but I think it was noticable enough for a CM to see it if necessary.

I agree with not being able to read the text unless you are really close but I ended up putting our LAST name only, both of our cell phones and our resort on them. If for some reason the cell phones were not working, at least they would be able to look up our last name and connect the cell phone number with what is in the computers and figure out where we are staying and my daughters name. I felt like I covered more bases that way.

Less expensive alternative can be found at bracelets-with-a-message.com
They can have any text or color.

Thanks for all of the bracelet info! I'd been looking into some other options, but these seem to be the best by far!

Seems like most of the ones I've been finding are the silicone type ones (like the Livestrong ones). I don't really want one like that, since my kids wear that type pretty often, I"m not sure it would stand out.

I'd rather have a type almost like a medical ID from a hospital. I've seen the kind you can write on yourself, but even with permanent ink I've found sunscreen often smudges it off. Anyone have any suggestions?

We got our autistic nonverbal child a necklace "dogtag" one from a local surplus store. It's great because we had enough room to have "Autistic" printed on it, along with her name and our mobile phone numbers.

There are waterproof ankle cuff styles available on the web. I think I found them with a search on "youth id bracelets" or something.

When I was in Walmart the other day I noticed some folks at a machine making a dogtag. I didnt stop to see it, so cant report on the cost, but there's another option for you.

Personally, we also ordered from Shanrene for our grandson. We got a red one since that's his fav color, and just put If lost, call Mom and her cell number. he is 6 and it fits his wrist. We'll see if he will wear it for 6 days. I may get a dog tag as a backup.:)
