Where did you /are you going to stay for your honeymoon?

We are also staying at the Coronado Springs Resort. We have stayed their twice before and absolutely loved the atmosphere, views and even the food. We wanted to stay at a Deluxe resort but we also wanted to be at the same resort as our family and friends, so we decided on the moderate prices. Even though we've been there before, I am still so excited about going back!!!

We stayed at the Grand Floridian - Lagoon View/Castle View. It was incredible!!! I had wanted to stay there since I saw it while it was being built when I was a young teenager! (we were at the Poly) It exceeded the expectations I had held for it for over 10 years.

My wife and I stayed at Old Key West! We purchased our "points" here on the disboards ( we've been doing it ever since and it's been wonderful) and received a great deal for a one bedroom at OKW. Everyone has their opinion and they all have different amounts of money that they can afford. With this "point" system we were able to stay 8 nights at a deluxe "home-away-from-home" resort for the price of a value resort. Check it out, see how you feel, but the one bedroom at OKW is the largest of the 1 bedrooms avail. in the world and the seclusion and feel gave it a nice background for not only the quiet times for the honeymoon, but the overall excitement of WDW that it delivers better than anyone!!!

P.S. The jacuzzi tub in the room doesn't hurt.

We will be staying at the AKL. We will be there August 6-12, 2006. I am EXTREMELY excited. My fiance and I wanted to take the opportunity of our honeymoon to really enjoy ourselves, since it is probably the biggest vacation we will be taking for a long time. We love the idea of having the animals outside our window. I think it is going to be the perfect hotel...fun but romantic. If anyone has any information about the AKL, please send it to me!!! I am information crazy about this stuff right now...I am just too excited. My email is tinkerbell105354@gawab.com or hnmbride@yahoo.com.
I love the AKL! It really is amazing to wake up with animals outside your window (in the savannah view rooms). While there aren’t animals out there all the time (at least not right in your viewing area), we saw lots of them. Plus, the resort itself has such amazing theming. Be sure to eat breakfast at Boma one morning—yum! Here’s a link to our pictures from one of our stays at the AKL: http://www.kodakgallery.com/I.jsp?c=9nofjoj.xgld677&x=0&y=ngq58n

We will be getting married on the 7 night magic in December and are going to WDW for 6 nights after that. Our choice right now is between OKW and the Beach Club Villas, we are using my sisters points for the stay and want a 1 bedroom. We have 7 months before we can book, so hopefully we can figure it out by then :goodvibes

We are doing 7 nights in Aruba, followed by 7 nights in a one bedroom at Saratoga, this October for our honeymoon (luckily i am a dvc member, so my accommodation for both is on points). I did think about the Grand Floridian, but i would miss not having a hot tub in my room. And we love Saratoga, especially the spa.

Greetings,
I'm totally new here (post 1!), but I thought I'd chime in... We're staying at the Wilderness Lodge resort for 5 days, then 7 days on the cruise that starts February 4th. The wedding is in just under a week, so we're really looking forward to getting to Disney and relaxing in the all-encompassing hands of the Mouse.

We just have this small detail to get through first...the one where all our families are flying in from out of town, and stuff...

j/k, we're really looking forward to the wedding and getting married  , but after all the work we've put into it (entirely planned, handled, and paid for by us, no coordinator, no family help, etc.), we're also eagerly awaiting the honeymoon and no responsibilities for a little while. (And the Rasul... )

I have some questions about the cruise, and other stuff, but I'll find the right place to post them...eventually.

Well, since we did a 2 week, 2 destination honeymoon...we went to Secrets in Punta Cana first for 8 days, then to WDW for another week. So..deluxe was just not in the cards for us..we stayed at CSR and had a wonderful time! They were so sweet to us at CSR-upgraded waterview, cards, balloons and champagne were in our room as well.
:)

We are getting married in December and staying for 15 days at the Boardwalk. We are DVC members so we have reserved a studio with boardwalk view. I love the Boardwalk because it has access to MGM and Epcot, it is within walking distance to Fantasia Mini-Golf, there are all the shops, games, etc around the Boardwalk, plus easy access to enjoy the couple other hotels on the lake.

we're staying 3 nights at Pop Century (or better if money permits) and then 4 night cruise on the Wonder in a balcony cabin :)

beach club villas 2 bedroom suite :)

We are staying at the Grand Floridian in a honeymoon suite. I know it is a little extravegant, but this is once in a lifetime. We have stayed there RPC before, and we will be back this summer. But, this will be the first time we have stayed in one of the honeymoon suites....

We're staying 12 nights at Old Key West in a one bedroom Villa.

We are staying at the Westgate Vacation Villas in Kissimmee for a week (a gift from his grandparents!), and then two nights each at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Wilderness Lodge. :) I couldn't decide between the two lodges! I've stayed at Wilderness Lodge before, but never Animal Kingdom Lodge, so we decided to do both :) Standard views at both lodges because of money, but I am happy anyway!

A lot of people we talk to say we've already had our honeymoon. Jason surprised me with a 7 day trip and we stayed at AKL Savannah Room for our anniversary/engagement. I LOVE that resort! I'm used to staying in the value so the Deluxe upgrade was amazing. For the wedding we'll be spending 4 nights at Pop with the family, then moving over to WL for an additional 4 nights.

we stayed at the ASMo for financial reasons. yeah, even though it's a value resort, we still had a great time.

Unless money permits us to stay at CSR we will be staying offsite (65 bucks a night for a condo!) or at Pop. We have been married 5 years but never got a honeymoon!

We stayed 5 nights at the Dolphin ( great nurses discount $99.00 a night) and 2 nights at WL courtyard view.
