Well it's almost 5:30 pm by me. Not sure if they have all grown up, are having small parties at home or what? I had only two groups ring my door bell - where is everyone? Any increase/decrease of kids in your neighborhood? I have a huge bowl of candy left.

We've never gotten trick or treaters that early- it's usually 7pm or later before they start out. We never were allowed to go out until after dinner together.

Isn't it a little early to give up all hope?! ;)

In my neigborhood the kids trick or treat until past 8:00. I haven't had one kiddo yet, but I'm not worried...

Besides, if they don't show...more candy for me!!

I just got my first group. Usually they don't show up here until after 7.

Reilly was not a happy camper. He was looking at me like "who are these little people and why are you giving them our stuff???"

Just had our first trick o treaters and they were about 6'2"! Where do you draw the line?

Trickling by very slowly here.. Curfew is at 8 pm, so they better get a move on if they hope to canvas this entire neighborhood! :flower:

The norm here was that as soon as school was out 3pm or so - door bells would start ringing and around this time ( 5 to 6 pm), die down to one here and there - every 15 mins. or so someone would ring. It's pitch black here already.

I hope my kids (a bit older) eat the candy before I do.

We had an amazing one (yup you read that right) trick or treater yesterday. And he showed up with half an hour left to trick or treating. But we're used to turn out like that, our numbers go down every year. We didn't even buy candy to give out. My sister has a candy fund raiser for school right now, and mom told her she'd hand out those candy bars and reimburse her for whatever she gave. Well...my sister sold one yesterday

I made sure that I bought things that we wouldn't eat like suckers. We have friends over tonight and whatever's left goes home with their kids!

It's a little early. A lot of them might have parents still at work or they might be eating dinner before they head out. We seldom see trick-or-treaters before 6:30

We probably won't get any kids 'til after 6 pm. I gotta run out to the mall - I should be back before dark. Don't expect any 'til after dark!

I haven't had any yet but then it's just starting here. Gosh I have tons of candy bars so I better get a bunch of kids or I'll have to eat it all myself!!

I is raining here and it isn't suppose to stop until after midnight. My boys are just crushed. :( :(

I had one group of seven about 5:45. It is just getting dark here, so I'm sure there will be more.

Hey-Pass that extra candy this way! Treak or treat was 6-8pm here. We went to my aunt's house since she lives in town, a VERY small town. By 6:30 I went to CVS to get more candy. By 7:30, we had to turn the light out after approximately 280 pieces of candy was given out!!

They don't show up here until around 6 and then most have come and gone by 7:30 or so. We'll turn the light off around 8 unless we run out of candy before then. It's been kind slow tonight though.
