Where did all of the 7DMT FPs suddenly come from?

I've been stalking 7DMT FPs for a few weeks trying to move group of 7 to earlier time. Nothing, not even late into the night ones. Today there are suddenly slots available throughout the day. Moved 5:30s up to 12:15s but could have had almost any afternoon slot for 7. Where did they all come from?

The updating of the FP system that occurred on Sunday and was refined during the first few days appears to have increased availability. It first began being reported yesterday.

Unfortunately, still no availability for A&E. We have 10 to 11 pm and 2 weeks to go. With 4 girls under 8, really want to move this one up to an earlier slot.

Thanks for posting about this! Our trip is in a little over a week, and I wanted to move our 7DMT FP to earlier in the day but haven't been able to. Just changed it to 9:20am! (I don't normally have FPs in the first hour after opening, but it works for our plan that day.)

I'm curious. What's your theory on how updating the distribution system could result in more availability?

I have no idea. The app wasn't working correctly on Sunday; people were holding FPs in two or three parks based on one ticket entitlement.

That was cleared up that day. Then, a day or two later, people posted about increased availability. Perhaps Disney recalculated based on changes in demand? Or, it's a glitch and they haven't noticed?

The meet and greet availability won't change because all meet and greets run at maximum. There is an expected number of guests that are to be seen without regard to character type - at least at MK. It will be interesting to see what the wait times are in Epcot when meets begin in Norway.

Do you think they are allowing more availability for the rides, which in turn is going to make the stand by lines even worse?

The only thing that is known is that there are shortened FP return windows within the last hour of park open.

Maybe those reconfigured windows caused other hours of the day to also be reconfigured number-wise?

No one has reported shorter windows during peak hours; they've only been reported in the last hour prior to closing.

No idea, but I'm so happy that they came up. I booked my FP with my AP as soon as I booked a trip for next month but had to wait to book my 4 year olds FP until I purchased his ticket. By the time I did so there were only late night FP left for 7DMT for him. I spent a few days searching to see if I could change his time and sync up our FP but there was nothing else until all of a sudden yesterday times for the entire day popped up. Hurray!

Agreed. Other than A&E, 7DMT was the only one I really wanted to move earlier and then voila! Fingers crossed we can still move A&E up as some people cancel as it gets closer. With 4 girls, 8 and under, 10 pm is going to be pushing it.

I know I was playing around with the app for a potential day visit on 5/6 not intending to book anything when I saw mine train available and I couldn't pass those up since as a former season pass/present silver passport holder it's been near impossible to ride {I think I've rode it maybe 4 or 5 times since it opened}

Looks like all spaces are mostly filled again, at least they are for our 5/1 and 5/9 days.

Is stalking the website a useful way to get a hard FP? I have been checking A&E (missed by minutes after 12am when my wifi stopped working!) every day, but nothing comes up.

What date are you looking for? Apparently they are either not available or very limited at the MK around or after 5/27.

May 29th. I wonder what is going on. What a bummer!

ETA that I just googled it and apparently the rumor is that A&E won't even be in MK because they are moving to Epcot the day before we arrive in WDW - what luck - we are not going to Epcot this time!
