Where could Universal expand further if they wanted to?

Read that they're either planning a new hotel or an expansion of RPR in the area between RPR and Cabana Bay. This seems to be close to all the remaining 'spare property' that Universal has. There looks to be ample room to expand the two existing parks for the foreseeable future, but what if they really wanted to expand further in a big way (ie, 3rd gate), where could they do so? The only place I can see would be for them to buy out all the hotels/land along Major Blvd. Doesn't seem like that would be cheap, but doesn't look like anything else would even be close to possible.

The general plan included areas along Universal Blvd all the way south toward the convention center, which would include light rail/monorail. The problem is the sold a lot of the land about 10-11 years ago.

However, it may be in the process of being reclaimed in various ways.

Ah, I see they still own some rather large chunks of property down there. Looks like lots of pieces of it are owned by some other company that is going through a bankruptcy so maybe that's how they're going to get it back.

Universal bought a big piece of land under and around Wet & Wild a few months ago. Their problem is that I-4 and some motels are in between the UOR and W&W properties. Maybe monorails or skyways to join the two?

That's what I'm thinking.

W&W lease of the land was up back in early 2013, so UO bought it.

if they are buying up the land around it, not use, having checked the sales for months.

No idea how it works in the US. Would they ever get granted planning permission to do something like this? Seems if they put a monorail etc from UO to Wet n Wild area, its a quite far not to mention super expensive.
That said I would love it if they expanded even more...
