Does Ariel do any meet n greets in the park? I thought I read that she makes an appearance at Ariel's Grotto but I just checked on the website and I didn't see anything. Anybody have any information to share?

We met her Monday at the Princess Fantasy Faire in DL!

As the PP said, Ariel is often at Princess Fantasy Faire, but she is not there all of the time. She is often at Ariel's Grotto, but again, it's subject to change without notification. Basically, there is no one place where you can be guaranteed to always see Ariel, but both PFF and AG are good bets.

Just to clarify did you read about the restaurant Ariel's Grotto or something in the park? There used to be a Grotto in DL, but it has been gone for awhile. The restaurant in DCA is a possibility to see her, but not guaranteed and requires a meal reservation there. We have met her in Fantasy Faire a couple of times.

For those that have met her, did you meet her in her dress or was she in her mermaid outfit? I'd like to have my daughter meet her in her mermaid outfit if that is possible. I was doing a search on line and saw some pictures where people were meeting her while she was sitting on this throne like chair in her mermaid outfit. Is there a place in DLR/DCA where we can meet her as a mermaid?

Long ago Ariel used to meet guests in her mermaid form at her Grotto in Disneyland, but that location has since been converted to Pixie Hollow. I've only seen Ariel in her human form in DLR since then. The only time I've seen her in her mermaid form lately is during the Soundsational parade (on hiatus while the Christmas parade is running).

We've eaten at her Grotto in DCA many times, she's always been there. I was always told that was a guarantee. She's not in her mermaid outfit anymore, she used to be but not anymore. As a PP said she had a grotto outside in DLR but it has since been replaced with Pixie Hollow.
I would make a reservation for AG in DCA, the food has been excellent every time I've eaten there and you get to meet other Princesses as well. :)

So it's a guarantee that you'll get to meet Ariel at AG? Which other princesses are there too?

Ariel (the legged version) meets guests just before they enter the restaurant.

The other princesses we saw were Princess Minnie, Cinderella, Aurora and Belle. We went for breakfast, it was nice enough , but they really do an amazing job with the princesses.

Yes, always. Other princesses may vary.

So the only place you're guaranteed is there. But as mentioned she can sometimes be found in the Royal Hall. I've also seen her several times (including about an hour ago) just inside the DL gates to the right before you go under the train/ thru the tunnel.

We just got back, had an amazing lunch at AG, our daughter was THRILLED! We met Ariel upon entry, then Rapunzel, by far the friendliest, Belle, Tiana, and Cinderella. Our reservation was for 11, which was perfect. We were one of the first 6 tables seated, so it was much easier for our antsy 3yo to meet the princesses right away rather than having to watch them make the rounds.

We were there at 1240 today, meet the same princesses the poster right above me mentioned, except Mulan instead of Belle (which was nice, she's not one you usually see!). Meet Ariel right as we arrived.

I am so bummed, AG is closed during our Feb trip, so I'm following this for a quick alternative to AG to meet the,. Good tip about at opening, we will look for her!

She stands by the entrance to Disneyland often (by Mickey flower, right before you enter tunnel). She is in human form, not mermaid form. You can see her in mermaid form in Fantasmic or parade though!

Yes, it is her Grotto, she will be there. In human form, she is the first one you meet as your head to your table. You walk down the spiral staircase and there she is. After you are seated 4 other Princesses come to your table, most commonly we saw Snow White, Aurora, Cinderella, and Belle, but on one trip we did not see Aurora or Belle, instead we saw Pocahontas and Mulan! That was exciting!
