Where can we buy healthy snacks?

We are visiting for the first time in February with our daughter age 7 (from the UK). Does anyone know where there are health food stores in the area (we are staying at Vistana resort LBV) where we can buy snacks to keep us going during the day like rice cakes etc.? (we are a little worried about the prospect of surviving on burgers every day!). We would bring some with us but importing food is discouraged! Any help would be appreciated. Very excited about the trip and hoping for good weather.

During all our recent visits, every park had at least one fruit stand where healthy choices were available. Likewise some of the counter-service eateries. Items such as roast (not fried) chicken, salmon, veggie sandwiches, etc. can be had in the parks. Even when you get a burger, you can usually substitute carrots for the fries. Check out http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menus.htm for specifics on menus.

Many of the fast counter service restaurants in MK have the raw carrot chips - but they are not listed on the menu. Be sure to ask. I have been frequently surprised about what they have stashed back there (fruit, PB&J, hot tea...)

There is a Gooding Supermarket in LBV that will have everything you need. Remember to get bottles of water, as you might be shocked at the taste of Orlando water. Otherwise you will be faced with nothing but soda.

Eat a good breakfast so you will not easily succumb to "any food." If you plan your trip and make PS reservations you'll be fine.

(My family has never had a hamburger/hotdog at WDW.)

Happy snacking!

BTW, importing prepackaged dry snacks like rice cakes isn't discouraged. The USDA has a very specific list of what is not allowed in passenger baggage, and the list does not include factory-packaged prepared cereal products. Here is the actual list, for your perusal: http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/travel/vacation/kbyg/prohibited_restricted.xml#Fruits and Vegetables

You'll note that "rice" is mentioned. That refers to bulk raw rice, which as you might imagine could easily harbor insects. Premade rice cakes or rice cereals still in the factory-sealed package will be just fine. Essentially, the rules discourage meat products, dairy products, and fresh (uncooked) fruit products. Stay away from those, and you are pretty much in the clear.
