Where can I go to read up on magic bands and fast passes

Which thread or site. I am not having luck finding info. DH does not ride many rides in the past we would give his fasspass and mine to our kids to ride the rougher rides twice and then off we would go. With the magic band can we do this, give them ours for the ride? And we have the old non expiring ticket that we will not use all the days on this time. We signed them, if I link them is that a future problem, the days left? We don't need a bunch of fast passes should we just continue as the past and get paper ones? We will have no dining plan. We are staying 8 nites with five LINKED nite reservation, we used most our points and had friends book other nites. From some thread on here I see people are spending hours at the desk straightening stuff out. I am cool if someone will let me in my room on occasion but I do not want to have to rebook fast passes everyday, I am an up and let's go person. I would rather wait in a ride line for 20 minutes than hang with CM each morning.

There's lots of information on this site and any others. Experiences vary widely for guests and I am not completely sure why that is.

That being said... We are arrived early yesterday (Saturday) four our first time with MDE and have had zero trouble with the bands and FP+. We made sure all our reservations, tickets, dining and FP+ was linked properly to our bands before leaving home and everything has worked for us 100% of the time last night and all day today.

I think two things have happened since inception that include:

1. We did everything right ahead of time, checked and double checked before leaving home.

2. Disney has made a lot of progress getting glitches worked out with the system.

Take the time to get it right and hopefully everything else will work out as expected.
