Where can I get the best price?

Is there any hidden secret as to where I can get the best price for a late August/early September trip to either AKL or Poly? Last year I went through a travel agent, but I believe I paid full price. Any help would be appreciated!

I don't think there is any "secret" place to book with. Some people use travel agents. I usually deal with Disney itself.

There are AAA room discounts available if you are a member. You can get these through AAA or directly through Disney. Only a certain number of rooms are available with the AAA discount, so it is possible there is no AAA discount available depending on your resort and the dates. I wanted WL but when I called a few weeks ago to reserve for December there was only courtyard view available with the AAA discount. I would rather have a less expensive view, but with the discount the AAA rate was the same or less than rack rate of the woods view.

Some people are lucky and receive e-mail or post card offers directly from Disney. These are typically only valid for the recipient.

Sometimes Disney will offer additional room discounts available to the "general public" a few months in advance, such as the discount for annual passholders.
