Where can I get cheap quality bedding?

I have not had luck with the JCPenney brand products at all. (used too!)
And, with their new way of doing business and merchandise... I can imagine that it has only gotten worse.

Our last set of sheets were from Penneys, but they were their designer brand. ( can't remember the name... a man's name ) Not a JCPenney band. They were heavy, not thin, but heavy-weight, 600 thread count sheets that were really good and lasted for years! Literally, took them off, washed them, and put them right back on our bed, for years.

Now I wish I knew where to find another set of similar sheets, that good.

Anyhow, get this, just today, I spent about $160.00 to order a luxury, high end, think 5-star hotel, blanket from finelinens.com I did find a coupon code, so if anybody would like it, send me a PM and I will forward the code to you.

I sure do hope that this blanket is as nice as it is reported to be in all reviews!!!!

Tuesday Morning has good quality stuff and it is usually reasonable. If you have Dillards in your area, see if they have a Clearance Center - check their website. They don't have a big selection but they have good quality stuff for very reasonable prices. We've also had good luck at Ross, TJ Maxx and Marshalls.

Has anyone had Wamsutta Dream Zone - 750tc Egyption cotton sheets, sold thru Bed Bath and Beyond?

I see a web-site where they are a 'best' pick for cotton sateen.

For percale, they recommend the 280tc percale from L L Bean, and I thought that I might want to try percale. But, now I am not so sure. I am not sure that there is any out there, affordable, that are as good as the old fieldcrest-cannon cotton sheets that my mom had when I was growing up!

go to Ross/tjmaxx or marshall. They have high quality brand name bedding for such low prices. I just got a brand name 1000 thread count bedsheets at ross for a king size bed for $24.99 retailed over $150. A nice Calvin Klein comforter retailed over $200 for $29.00 and Calvin Klein pillows for $7.99. Its hit and miss but go on weekdays when they put out new stuff.

I bought a nice duvet cover from Lands End. They have a section for bedding in their sale items. You can find some good deals there. Also, they've had quite a few 25%off codes lately.

I bought the duvet from overstock. I decided I just had to have a wool one instead of down. There aren't as easy to find. Overstock had the best price and I'm very happy with the quality.
