Where can I find yummy salad?

i had one at Pinocchios which was a mediteranian with chicken, mozzarella balls, feta cheese and it was great. Columbia Harbour house has a nice fried chicken salad. I love salads, i found it was the best thing for me to eat on our lunch breaks so i wouldnt get too lazy from eating a big meal. Best of all with the salad it allowed me to have a few bits of choco cake without feeling bad afterward.

You sound just like me :) I don't feel so sluggish if I throw in a few salads during the trip. My girls love salads too!

Chefs de France---the goat cheese salad. YUM.

ETA: Ohana! Can't believe I forgot that one! I could eat nothing but the salad there.

I had a lunch salad at Tutto in Epcot called the Tutto Insalata della Casa con Pollo. It was one of the best salads I have ever had. It was delicious. :thumbsup2

I agree with the PP about the BLT salad at Columbia Harbor House. We had this salad when we were on the "Keys to the Kingdom" tour, and it was wonderful! Especially on a hot August day.

I also agree about the salad at 'Ohana. When we go, we pretty much only eat the salad, the pork with the dipping sauce, and the bread pudding. Now THAT is a yummy meal! :thumbsup2

So many good choices. My DDs(10) & (6) love salads. They even ask for them at Mcdonalds which always surprises me but of course I love it. I keep hearing great things about Earl of Sandwich and want to try their sandwiches but did not realize they also had salads.

I was addicted to the Chicken Caeser Salad at Mara at AKL. The chicken was just so delicious, I can't wait to go back and have it again.

At the Contempo Cafe in the Contemporary they have a wonderful steak salad with a soft creamy feta cheese and a lovely dressing.

Here's a pic from October:

It was certainly a "meal salad". I'm sure it was less than $10 but I can't recall the exact price.

That looks just delicious. Contempo wasn't on our list for our next trip but I think I may had it to try that salad.

I look forward to the salad at WDW. There are so many good ones. As mentioned already, the salads served at Ohana and Garden Grill are outstanding. Whispering Canyon's dinner skillet comes with a salad dressed in a yummy apple vinaigrette. :goodvibes:

Last two times I was at Cape May Cafe for dinner, they had a "citrus salad" on the buffet. It was mainly radicchio and endive dressed with a citrus vinaigrette and garnished with almonds. So good! I would eat there just for this salad and their baked salmon teriyaki.

I had no idea how many places had great salads, I can't wait to try them! I have a list going....

I actually really liked the Pizza Planet Chicken Salad at Toy Story Pizza Planet when we were there in July 2008! I usually can't stand canteloupe so I planned on eating around it, but I actually ate it in this salad and it is the only time I ate cantaloupe and enjoyed it! The salad was fresh and delicious. I don't eat theme park pizza so I got this instead, as my son really wanted to eat at Pizza Planet.

I loved the different salads at Boma, and also at Crystal Palace dinner! Looking forward to Crystal Palace again!

We're probably going to Earl of Sandwich, for the first time, on our July trip. I have looked at the menu (of course!) and all the salads look so interesting! We have a lunch ADR for Plaza one afternoon, and the chicken and strawberry salad looks amazing, although their sandwiches look really great too! Gonna be a tough decision!

I'm with others...in the summer Florida heat, a salad in the middle of the day for lunch is very refreshing and prevents me from becoming sluggish.

I had a great Caesar salad from Trails End lunch buffet. Actually most of the buffets had pretty good salads on them. Did not care for the Cobb @ Brown Derby tho or the salad at O'Hana. Sweet Tomatos is not too far off property & has good selection.

I want to try this salad at LTT when we go there in 3 weeks!

Colony Salad - Washington apples, sweet pecans and applewood smoked cheddar and grilled chicken tossed with field greens in honey shallot vinaigrette

Sounds yummy!

This is yummy! I booked a lunch at LTT just so I could have it again.

The Turf Club at SSR has a wonderfully refreshing salad. It is mixed greens with a citrus viniagrette and a crostini on the side. I am salivating just thinking about it.

POR has a make-your-tossed salad with a whole bunch of ingredients, and you can top it also with steak or chicken.

Kouzzina's has a wonderful house salad, it is mixed greens with a lemon viniagrette and spicy cashews. Another wonderful choice.

I always like when my salads are more refreshing and not so filling.....

My DMom is a salad fiend and has tried most every salad on WDW property :rotfl: I've tried most of the following as well:

Kona Cafe = Kona Salad - Mixed greens, blue cheese, fresh fruit, red onions, and smoked almonds with a citrus vinaigrette $7.99

Ohana = Mixed greens with a honey-lime dressing This salad is so simple but so yummy and it is all you can eat! We have made the dressing at home many times because it is so tasty!

Liberty Tree Tavern = Colony Salad - Washington apples, sweet pecans and applewood smoked cheddar and grilled chicken tossed with field greens in honey shallot vinaigrette $13.49

California Grill = Crispy Asian Rock Shrimp Salad - with Japanese Pears, Red Onions, Soy Reduction, and Wasabi Cream $16

AND

Early Fall Salad - with Plums, Frisee, Fennel, Candied Pecans, Laura Chenel Chevre, and Citrus Vinaigrette* $13

Columbia Harbor House = Garden Harvest Salad - mixed greens, chicken, garden vegetables, cheese and sunflower seeds $8.19

Barbecue Chicken Salad - crisp greens and tomato with balsamic vinaigrette dressing in a toasted garlic shell $7.49

And our all time favorite craveable salad....

Wolfgang Puck Express = Chinois (Shin-wah) Chicken - roasted all natural chicken breast, fresh Asian vegetables and cripsy wontons, dressed with Honey Mustard $10.95 - This is so yummy! It is crisp, refreshing, crunchy and has a wonderful tangy and sweet honey mustard dressing

I must try that salad at LTT. It sounds wonderful!

There are lots of good salads listed here. I loved the Chicken Caesar Salad I had at Beaches and Cream too.

Love this thread. It's inspiring me to try more salads on my next trip!

I love salad!!!!

Great thread - I have gotten so many ideas for my trip next week. :cloud9:
