Where can I find sugar free desserts?

My family will be going to Disney and my DM has a sweet tooth and, unfortunately, diabetes. Can anyone recommend places to eat where she won't feel deprived? Thanks!

Amanda

The Fountainview Cafe has sugar free cheesecake, and the Kringala Bakery in Norway has sugar free chocolate mousse. Both of these are in EPCOT. One is in Futureworld and the other is in World Showcase.

Also, the Main Street Sweet Shop in the Magic Kingdom carries some sugar free candies and chocolates. Some of the ice cream stands carry sugar free ice cream, or can have someone bring some to their location.

Another idea would be to contact any restaurants that you have Priority Seating arrangements for, and let them know that you need a sugar free dessert offering. With at least 24 hours notice, they can do a great job for you!!

The Boardwalk Bakery also carries sugar free cheesecake.

I hope that this helps......

*Flower*,

I just want to thank you for your information! It's good to know these things.

Thanks!

As you can see, I've been WISHing, and if I want any sweets, they have to be sugar free (I'm doing Atkins modified).

It took me a little while to find all of the information that I needed to have a bit of dessert now and then.

I hope that this makes it easier for someone.......

Dbf thinks the sugar free peanut butter cups (from the DTD candy store) are amazing.

I think I remember one of my students getting a sugar-free ice cream at the ice cream social.

My DM can't have sugar either, and my DF has followed this with her. The candy store on Main Street has tons of sugar free candy. You could stop in there before the parade and have a snack while waiting. Also, some of the nicer restaurants will have have the chef make something special if you ask. We ate at Italy twice and both times they said something to the waiter about sugar free deserts, and he said the chef could make something special if we could wait about 10 minutes. It was delicious! Hope this helps!

Do you have any PSs planned? If so, call ahead and modify your reservation to include information regarding SF desserts needed.

Also, when you get to the restaurant, speak to whomever seats you. We did this last year at the Garden Grille Ice Cream Social. The chef came out to speak with us and gave us a choice of SF ice cream or SF cheesecake.

They were both very yummy, but the cheesecake was extraordinarily so.

Just check ahead, or ask when you go somewhere. I think it is available in quite a few places, but not listed on the menu.
