Where can I find cheap girls sweats?

I need sweats for my DD (5) to wear around the house this winter. I have been to Wal-Mart, the 4/5's are too small and the size 6 is way way too big(so big almost another kid could fit)

How could there be such a size difference between the two sizes?

I tried Target, they are the same brand name as Wal-Mart, Hanes so they fit the same.

Tried Kohl's, a little pricier, $8.00 vs $5.00 but they are the kind that go below DD's bellybutton. For a 5 year old, ridiculous! If I pull them up she says they don't feel right if you know what I mean.

Any suggestions? I don't want to spend alot becaue she just wears them inside during cold winter days.

I have the same problem with my son - there's no size 5/6, it's either 4/5 (too small) or or 6/7...I just buy the bigger ones and wash them in hot water and high heat in the dryer...they usually shrink up enough to work with, though they're still a little big.

I honestly have this problem in a lot of stores...He doesn't fit in toddler sizes anymore, (5T) but the regular 5's seem really big in some places. Not to mention that the entire boy's department is navy blue, but that's a story for another thread...

Have you tried Childrens Place? I am not a huge fan of their stuff--except their sweats they really held up for my DS.

I like the ones from Kohl's for my dd. She is between sizes too and the one's from Kohl's fit her the best. Children's Place also have some good ones that fit her about right too.

I second the Childrens Place. If you don't like the sweats, look there for fleece pants, or at Kohls as well. Carters has nice fleece pants. Also, what about the Carters fuzzy pajamas? I found at Kohls for around $10 on sale and also at BJs for $10 - a fleece pant and top in tons of cute prints and definately cozy!

I found sweats for my DD at Childrens Place. When I was at the mall store, there were none on sale. $14.50 a piece. We also have an outlet and they had a ton of sweats, plus alot of other things for $5.00.

$5.00-$8.00 is my max for sweats. DD just wears them around the house so to pay around $10.00 for one piece is over the top for me.

DD couldn't wear the ones at Kohl's because they came below her bellybutton (mentioned in the original post) and she didn't think they were comfy.

If you're looking for cheaper options, I know that I have seen some at Dollar General. If there is not one in your area, maybe there is some other discount store chain (Fred's for example). I know I've looked at them before and they seem to run smaller to me. I think they were about $3.50 each piece.
