Where can I drop off people going to universal

my daughter and a friend want to go to US ans IoA.
Is there a place I can drive to and drop them off witho it having to pay parking fee?
Also can I park at hotel and have a drink?

You can drop people off near the parking garage. See the red line below.

As for hotel parking, I'm not certain.

You can drop them off at CityWalk, I think where the buses are. I know I have seen signs for the drop off lane. It's outside the parking garages. Where the taxis are too.
You can also drop the off at a hotel, the Hard Rock is the closest.
There is no free parking to enjoy the restaurants or bars at the hotels. Parking is more expensive at the hotel than at CityWalk. Note, after 6pm, you can park in the 2 parking garages at CityWalk for free.

The walk from the Hard Rock is about 10 minutes, and the line through security tends to be not that long. From CityWalk, it's about a 15 minute walk, and going through security can be crazy.

Either way, dropping them off early makes life easier for all.

You can park at a hotel and have a drink but you'll be charged for parking unless you get your parking ticket validated. I think you have to eat at a restaurant for that.

universal have a very nice area for drop off exclusively you won't miss it, there will be signs to guide you and is right in front of the garage

I overheard the the valet at PBH saying the first 30 minutes were free in the hotel parking garage.

For US, I would drop off here 28.479027, -81.464239
For IOA I would drop off here 28.471348, -81.46702

Dropping off is super easy. They have signs for drop-off and then will further direct you when you stop at the person in the booth. Drop off is near the bus/taxi area. There is no fee for just dropping off.

That red line in the above pic is a great illustration. The right side of that red U has been for busses only every time we've done drop off. They have always told us to go to the left side. (The person in the booth will let you know).
