Where can I catch the monorail? And what time?

We are staying in the POP resort. On our first night there I have surprise reservations for Chef Mickey's. I want to arrive at the Contemporary by monorail and our ressies are for 8:30. First, where should I catch the monorail at? Where do I take the bus to do that? Second, what time do you think I should leave the POP in order to get to the Contemporary at around 8:15?

Why not take the monorail from the MK to the Contemporary? Or Epcot to the MK then the MK to the Contemporary? I am not too sure as far as what time you would need to leave to do all of this-sorry I'm no help on the time as I rarely make it to places on time if I am 5 minutes late then I am doing pretty good that day.
