Where can I buy Disney Dollars?

I have read from several websites that I can buy disney dollars and use them at any of the parks at any store, cart, etc. But (besides Connections and Ebay) i can't find them anywhere. I wanted to prebuy monies so when i arrived i wouldn't be "hit" so hard with the cost. I know EVERYTHING in the parks are ridiculously high. I looked at a website that said Connections aren't too honest with their business dealings so I don't want to deal with them via credit card.

I don't believe places like Connections sells Disney dollars. I always get mine from the Disney Store. In fact I just bought some there today. They come in denominations of $1, $5, and $10. Just be careful on getting too many DD because they are basically cash and if you lose them they can't be replaced.

since your from St. Louis i would just go to the Disney store next time you were in the mall

I don't know if you can buy them at WDW, but why would you want to? Once you are there you can just use cash. I think most people use them as either a forced savings plan before their trip, or to give their kids as something fun to hold on to so they won't spend their $$ on other stuff before vacation. At least that's how we use them at our house! Have fun on your vacation!

I wanted to know if you could purchase Disney Dollars at WDW because DH & I will be there in early Dec. We will be returning in Jan. with extended family, so I was thinking of buying Disney Dollars for all of them as Christmas gifts.

Yes you can buy DD at Downtown Disney as we purchased some as soon as we got there, this past March, to give my cousin and her husband for their 35th wedding anniversary and they were totally surprised and very happy with them!

I only wish our Disney stores up here would sell them but they don't.

I know you can buy them in Ocala for sure and I am pretty sure you can buy them at WDW. I know they give them at the stroller rental places when you turn your stroller back in at the end of the day. Seems I read a few years ago that they can be purchased almost anywhere but that WAS a few years ago and that could have changed!!!City Hall,ticket booths,and some of the resorts sell them.(or at least used to!!)I also think some of the gift shops do as well but I do not know how many.They can also be purchased by mail order but I think there is a limit of $25 by credit card and $100 by check.

We have purchased them at the Ocala center for Jennifer.

Sheila--How did you get them by mail order? I thought you could not get them that way. I know you used to be able to order them but I thought they discontinued that. Also, I did call Ocala today and they did say that they sold DD, but it had to be a cash transaction. What's up with that? Does that mean they don't take credit cards?

Donna I have never bought them by mail order but I did a search for Disney Dollars and one of the sites that came up stated the part about mail order. It could be outdated info!!!

I guess they do cash only so someone can't buy them and then say their card was stolen or file bankruptcy. Who knows?? We have just used cash and only bought about $20 at a time. Ya know someone the age of Jennifer that loves WDW as much as she does could be dangerous with more than that!!!!!!!!
