Where at the port do they check your port arrival time?

We haven't driven to the port since before Covid. Where do they check port arrival time?

Just wondering ... do they check it when you drive up to the loop to drop off luggage, do they check it upon entrance to the garage, at the terminal when you check in...?

They check before letting you in the terminal. Not when you pull up to drop off your luggage or to get into the garage.

At Port Canaveral, I remember seeing lines with signs for the different PATs outside the ground floor of the terminal. Like, say, 9-9:30 go to this line. 9:30-10 go in the line next to it. Etc.
It may have been more specific than that (9a this line, 915 this line next to it) but my brain is a little fuzzy with exact details.

2 times I've sailed this year, the scanning of the PAT happens between luggage drop-off and entering the terminal (once in PC and once in San Juan).

I believe during COVID they checked as you were driving in to drop off luggage, etc., because they really didn't want lines/crowds of people anywhere. We sailed last September and no one checked as we drove in. They checked as we approached the terminal (as PP said, they had lines set up for the 'nearby' PATs).

Oh, during Covid, it seemed like every CM interaction they were checking it. I ended up putting it on the dash until I parked the car because it was being scanned so frequently.
