Where are you having dinner before Pirates & Princesses party?

We are thinking of going to the P&P party in August. We have never done a Disney party before. I had made a late breakfast ressie for Chef Mickey's for that day (10:30 a.m.), but now my DD insists that we go to dinner. It really makes no difference to me, but does anyone have suggestions as to how to make this work the best. Does it make sense to go to dinner beforehand? I was assuming I should get a ressie for about 5 pm, so there would be plenty of time to get to the park before the party starts.
Thanks for your tips.:)

We are eating at LTT at 5.30pm.:)

crap.. i dont know... was planning on AK earlier that day... lunch at rainforest cafe than counter service at MK.

I just went and made reservations at the bippity boppity boutique ( I am sure I spelled that wrong lol) for 4:30 for my daughters..

Now I am not sure what I am going to do. I already have ltt and cp booked for other days.

Maybe a half day trip to AK with CS and than Rainforest Cafe in DTD after the boutique.

LTT @ 5:00 on August 15...should give us plenty of time to get into those pirate costumes!

I'm just doing CS during the P&P Party. Probably Cosmic Ray's or Columbia Harbor House. I figure I'm paying an extra $40 (more or less) to be in the park...I'm going to spend as little time inside a restaurant as possible! popcorn::

I read that a park pass is not needed to attend the party, just the party pass. So, what time can you get into the park with your party pass?

Thanks so much!

I'm thinking Ohana on our way to P&P ... but need to figure out the timing of entering the park (we will not be visiting another park that day)

We're doing Tony's Town Square on PPP 8/24 - I had already booked it for 8pm, so I just changed the ressie to 5pm...

Once the tickets are out, I think those early ressies in MK are going to go like hot cakes - if they haven't already..

On the phone the CM told me that entry to the party would be 7:30pm-12:30am.
However, if you have a dinner ressie inside MK, you can show them that you have a party pass and dinner ressie and they will grant you access for your dinner ressie.

I hope they were right because thats what the plan is over here. ;)

I changed my ressie to CP at 5 pm. There was nothing at Chef Mickey's til 9 pm, so I got that on another night. Maybe I should change to Tony's. They had early ressies too, and we have never been there.
Someone on an earlier thread said you could get into the park as early as 4 pm, but I don't know if that is correct. Never been before.

I was told by a CM about the P&P parties in August while I was making reservations. She said that guests may begin to enter MK at 4pm with their P&P tickets. They will be exchanged at the turnstiles for a wristband and entrance to the park will be granted, although the official party won't begin until 7:30. She also said that guests already in the park can just present their wristbands to a CM in the park and exchange them for wristbands without leaving the park.

Going to Ohana before the party.
I heard the food choices are limited so we are gonna get stuffed before the party.
