Where are you eating 4th of July?

Liberty Tree…where else should you be on the 4th.

The first 3 nights of our trip, which includes the 4th, we won't be on the dining plan. So, we decided to do something kind of simple for the 4th. We are going to sleep in, enjoy the pool a bit, go to ESPN club, and then into Epcot for the fireworks.

We're doing the EXACT same thing! Save us a table, would ya? :rotfl2:

My sister and her family are eating lunch with Mickey at the Garden Grille in Epcot, and then heading over to  MK for the rest of the evening.

I will be in Alabama. :(

50's Prime Time Cafe, we figured DHS would be the best bet on the 4th, we orginally had LTT for the 4th but I cancelled it. I figured its the last night of our honeymoon and I don't want to be battling the crowds in the MK although I am sure the fireworks will be amazing.

Just let her know, July 4th is one of the few days that MK can and has closed due to numbers. There is a chance that if she's not already at MK that she will not be able to get in, even as a resort guest. This is one of those days where the best advise is... get there early and do not leave until after the fireworks.

Trying to decide if I should make some plans... Where are you eating 4th of July?

I'm not sure what time we are arriving yet or what we are doing that day but more than likely we will stay away from MK...

Does anyone know if the crowd and /or restrictions usually lift after the fireworks are over?
Anyone done Hoop De Doo on the 4th- Can you see the fireworks from that area?
We are eating at the Kona & then watching the FWrks from the beach

We're eating at the Plaza because I figured it would be one of those days that you needed to get to MK early and then stay there.

My sister is a little tired of hearing my DIS advice. I'm hoping that they decide to stay at Epcot on the 4th for the whole day.

They've come a long way in their thinking on this trip. They are on the dining plan, and made ADRs pretty far in advance. They are going to hit the parks early to ride fp rides, and go again much later. However, they did not plan park days to be at the least crowded park on each day. I'm sure they probably hit some days good, and other days not so good.

I am very concerned that they will be overwhelmed by the crowds, and that DDP will actually be a poor decision for them because of it.

This is the family's 2nd trip. They went with us the 3rd week of April last year.

There's also a possibility that on July 4th, access to the Polynesian beach may be limited to guests of the Polynesian. That has been done in the past.
