Where are they announced first?

I know many wait for new promotions to come out such as the FD being continued into November/December. My question is where are these promotions FIRST announced? Disney website? If they are strictly for Disney Visa card holders, are they on the Disney Visa site first?

First of all welcome to the Dis. Your going to love this web site there is so much info. The dis web site does knows-all the day offers come out. Also this site offers great info on the other parks.

You need to register on the Disney Web Site. It will ask you a few questions answer yes to receiving promotions. There are ton of promotions going on right now. some offering free dining. This year they are offering a tiered dining program. Quick serve for value resorts, regular dining for moderate resort, and deluxe dining for deluxe resorts. You need to purchase a package to get the free dining. But they are also offering some great deals too. Some offering as much as 40% off your resort.

DH and I have Annual Passes got an e-mail from the passholder site on Friday offering 42% off deluxe resorts.

Thanks so much for the welcome! I have been lurking for quite some time and it has helped me plan our trip for December already. I do have a Disney Visa and am registered on the Disney site, so I guess I'll wait like all of you for another promotion for our December time (Monster pin didn't work with our CR club level ressie-oh well!)

My experience has been that DIS ALWAYS announces first - I honestly don't know how people find out, but the DIS boards are the absolute best resource for finding out about discount announcements as early as possible. I have a disney visa and visit the disney website regularly, but never would have been able to book as early with the discount codes in the past had it not been posted here. The other benefit of checking this board regularly is that you can actually pick up advance "tips" of when the next deal will come out so that you can plan.
