Where are the specials for Fall? Aren't they usually out by now? :confused3

Trying to be patient but it's HARD!

Ahhhh ok! I was wrong, thought it was August. Guess I'll have to sit tight.

I am (not so) patiently waiting as well... The last two years, fall specials were actually released in mid to late August, so I'm hoping to see something released soon!

I received an email on July 21st with discounts for summer and for some dates in Nov. I received an email today for discounts thru Oct. 2nd. I am hoping by the 3rd week in Sept. I will receive one for my actual dates. :santa: Nov. 30th-Dec. 4th.

I received one of those "Disney Destinations" e-mails today. Sounds like the same one the PP received today. It had deals for travel that had to be booked by 9/24 and completed by 10/2. One of the deals was a save up to 30% for most Sun-Thurs resort hotel bookings and the other was some sort of discount off a package that included a character meal. I think I've seen better deals in the past, but we don't usually stay at the DLR hotels or travel in the fall, so I don't really know how these stack up.

I'm waiting to see if anything comes out for Oct 22-29 and I am starting to wonder if I just need to make a decision & book in case there aren't any deals. Do DLR hotels fill up at that time of year? It makes me anxious to wait until late Sept. to book a hotel when we've already bought the plane tickets.

Hi sonjaandsue,

If you have already bought plane tickets then I would definitely go ahead and book a hotel. In fact, I would book two hotels rooms, one at the Disney hotel of my choice and another at a less expensive off-site hotel as a back up.

When you make a reservation with the Walt Disney Travel Company, you will be required to pay one night in full as a deposit. However, Disney hotels have a 5 day cancellation policy. You can cancel up to 5 days before your reservation and get a full refund. Keep in mind that this is for room only reservations. The rules are different for packages. You can also rebook your room at a lower rate if a fall special comes out after you have booked your room.

Thank you!!! I was forgetting the cancellation policy was different for room only vs. packages. We will be doing room only.

I hate to rush anyone but that will be a busy time. The two Halloween parties while you are there will probably sell out. The other days not aweful, but you are going to finish your trip on a very busy weekend.

Do as suggested and book your room now, with the option to change or cancel them later.
