Disney is offering everything from free nights and gift cards for the resorts. My question is why are the excluding the campground? I just do not understand. I am paying almost 100.00 a night for a spot to park for a week.

The only discounts that seem to be working for the Fort are Military. But honestly, if all you want is a "spot to park" for a week you might want to look at Turkey Lake. It's not too far and it's $18 a night. The Fort is far more than a "spot to park", which is why it stays well-booked, which is why they seldom discount their prices. Enjoy your vacation, wherever you stay! :santa:

I am excited about staying at FW. What I was meaning, we will be at the parks more than our camper. I guess they want everybody to buy a package with a room.

When we were at the World last we were there for 8 days with only 3 in the parks... I wish I'd have scheduled more time at the Fort! It is a vacation destination in itself!

Military is for cabins only.

Discounts are utilized in the hospitality industry to fill empty rooms. FW seldom has "empty" sites, thus Disney does not need to discount to keep the occupancy rates at an acceptable level. It all comes down to supply and demand. The supply is small (about 825 campsites) vs. tens of thousands of hotel rooms.

As much as I would love discounts I don't see them in the cards.

Get in line(just kidding) however, there are plenty of others that feel your frustration.
Only unfortunately Tim is right..it does come down to supply and demand.

I say it's time we start DEMANDING some discounts! pirate:

Ummm...You go first..we're right behind ya! :lmao:

Also..Denise is right. Try AAA. We were able to secure a nice discount the end of Sept last year with it.

Where in deed? Last year I camped at the Fort 4 times and I didn't care what the price was cause' we had just gotten our 5th wheel and we hadn't been in a long time. This year however, we will not be going as much to Disney. :(
