Where are the AP discounts--none available!!

I realize that Friday, November 28 is a huge holiday weekend day. However, there is not a darn thing to be had in the way of a discount...at any hotel!!

I believe when the AP rates came out earlier this month Thanksgiving weekend was actually blacked out for rates.

I would imagine that since its a popular time and they were able to book rooms with regualr rates, they did not have a need to discount the rooms.

I know what you mean. I've called 5 times hoping for an AP discount at ANY deluxe for October 9-13 and there is nothing available. They seemed to have very few rooms available for the AP holders.

Maybe all the rooms were booked up as soon as the rates were released. I managed to book AKL in December but I was told there were no AP rate rooms left at WL. The CM did tell me to keep trying back as reservations are canceled all the time... Not much else to do I guess I'm glad I was able to get AKL though

I don't think anyone is likely to get a discount for that weekend...its typically very busy!

We did the AP rate wait too.....though we finally resolved what to do today and the night we needed we'll be staying at the Wyndham Palace via priceline. At first we were going to book Swan with the teacher or AP rate....then I thought about a moderate with AP rate (never bothered to call for availability) and finally we just decided to take a chance of ending up off site on priceline...we're saving about $30 over a moderate with an AP rate and will have queen beds...and we're still on property, so I'm happy!

I wouldn't be surprised to find very little AP rate availability after all the waiting and apprehension.

we originally had wl for nov30-dec8 but changed to akl with ap rates as none available for wl, i did try calling back a few days later and am back at the wl with ap rate for courtyard view i think a lot of people are changing rooms for the ap rate so you might want to try again.are you staying longer than nov28? if so maybe you could get the ap rate for your other days? good luck

I did get AP rate at AKL for Nov 29 through Dec 6 at 171 including tax, I called the 1st day, so the rates were there to be had. Continue to try to call as resies get cancelled all the time..Good Luck

Originally, I was able to only get two nights at the FTW cabins beginning on Nov. 21. I called the day AP rates became available and by 9:00 am all were booked but the first 2 nights. I have been calling EVERY day since then. I was told by a CM to call first thing each morning as cancellations would be put into the computer systems during the night. Well, through constant calling I was able to keep adding a night here and there. I finally finished up this week with ALL eight nights, Nov 21-29 at the cabins with AP rate for all nights. I would encourage you to contintue calling. Cancellations do ocurr, but you have to be ready to jump on it! Good Luck!!

We are paying $149 a night which includes taxes. I was pretty happy with that rate. We love the cabins and Ft. Wilderness is our favorite resort.
