Hey there! I'm in Scottsdale. I love the podcast and get alot of info from the Dis boards, but I don't post much. Are you going on the podcast cruise? I'm signed up, but I'm still wavering about going! I haven't heard of any meets in Phoenix. Do you go to Disneyland more than Disney World? I love both for different reasons, but it sure is great to be able to drive to Disneyland. We were just there in October and stayed at the Grand Californian. It was so relaxing and gorgeous there, and to be able to walk right into the parks was great. Hope to see you on the boards!:woohoo:

yay ! i knew there would be someone. Im not going on the podcast cruise, i would love to but financially its not a good time. I have been to DL a LOT more than WDW. im from orange county, only been here for 4 years. i worked at DL about 10 years ago even. I love them both also, the SIZE of wdw is awesome, there is SO much to do you need a month. but if i had to pick just ONE park to go to, its DL all the way. Its the real deal, walt walked the streets, picked up trash, talked to guests and cast members, saw things about the attractions he didnt like and had them fixed, you cant beat that. but they are all great, that is just my fav resort. Glad to see you on here!

I love Disneyland too! I agree, you really feel Walt's personal touch there. I love the unique differences in the rides like Pirates, and the restaurant that's inside the ride. The whole New Orleans square is beautifully themed. I got teary eyed during one of the performances on Main Street when they played a recording of Walt's voice! I grew up in the midwest and as a kid I went to Disney World, so I fell in love with that park first. But, now that I live out here I'm so happy I can drive up to Disneyland. Its a more relaxed park for little kids (I have 5 yr old twins) and there is not the pressure to run around and see things at all the different parks like at DW. Its so cool that you used to work there! What did you do? What was it like being on the "other side"?

i worked in costume issue/ parade costuming. it was a backstage job. the fun part was helping all the parade people get ready, helping them put on thier huge costumes. also picked up crowd control shifts when they needed it. I loved working there, it didnt change a thing for me. Still the magical place i grew up loving !
