Is there anywhere that you can eat and see Illuminations? Or what's the best place to see Illuminations and what time should we eat, so that we're done in time to get a spot. We'd like to do TS, as we're on the DxDP.

Oh and my mother is in an ECV, so if you could recommend a place that she won't be in everybody's way, that would be great. She won't enjoy it if she feels like she's in the way.:goodvibes

Thanks~

The only place with an excellent view is Rose & Crown. You are not guaranteed a patio table, though, nor can you request one. Current reports say you have to take whatever comes open when you've checked in. Don't know if that will change when you have a mobility-impaired person with you. If you are seated inside, you can go outside to a viewing area to see the show when it begins.

Chefs de France may have some limited view, possibly of the high fireworks only, and you'd have to be seated at a window table facing the lagoon to see them.

Tokyo Dining has a few window tables - but again, very few - and you'd have to be seated at one to see anything.

Bistro de Paris also has a limited number of window tables and would have a view only partially obstructed by trees, but is not on the dining plan.

There's no way to tell about your mother feeling like she's in the way - that would depend entirely on where the particular restaurant ends up seating you. Many ECV users that I've seen leave the ECV outside and walk into the restaurant. If she must remain on the ECV at all times you might want to ask on the DISAbilities Forum regarding the places where you can bring it in and whether or not you can expect to be seated at an Illumiations view table with it.

Oh I meant if we just watched it after dinner outside somewhere. Where is the best place for that? Can you see the whole show from any resort?:confused3

No, you really can't see the whole show from any of the resorts - the most you can see is the high fireworks. Much of the action takes place at water level in the World Showcase lagoon. There are roped off viewing sections for wheelchairs and ECVs around the World Showcase, I couldn't tell you exactly where they are but they do exist.

:goodvibesI'll ask on the DISabilities board, maybe they would know. Thanks for your help.
